My boss looked at me funny yesterday when I showed up and discovered 2 dozen wines were there for me.

Didn't take them home and showed up today and there were another 2 dozen wines for me. (took them home now).

Wish that would happen everyday for me ;)

Haven't unpacked or checked any of them yet...... that seems like a lot of work!

Mine were all the "Festive Dozen", so no need to be concerned about the Wynne's substitutions .

Ok...placed 2 orders of 2 dozen each a week ago; so expecting 4 boxes of wine but only found 3 boxes at my back door. Is this what others have experienced? I would have thought all 4 boxes would have been delivered at the same time. The online tracking notice says all the wine has been delivered...so where is the missing box (a dozen bottles)?
I'll wait and see if the missing box turns up tomorrow before I start to chase it up...
The missing box turned up yesterday:)

I have received both of my orders OK (have a PO box). However, I ordered two dozen of the festive season mix dozen and didnt receive 4 of the wines I expected. The original website dozen had the Seppelts Xavier Shiraz 2008 (no disclaimer) but this was replaced with the Wynns Cab/Sh/Merlot 2010. Checking the website today it had changed to the Wynns and added a disclaimer that some wines may need to be replaced.

I rang this morning and they girl said they have instructions that if someone rings and queries this, Epicure will send the Seppelts and there is no need to return the Wynns. That's not bad service and I am very pleased I rang
Thanks for the heads up. My 4 boxes all had the Wynns instead of the Seppelts. I just rang Epiqure, and before I could finish my sentence, she said that they were overwhelmed by orders and had run out of the Seppelts; they didn't want to delay delivery, so they made the substitution. HQ have instructed them to send the Seppelts out if queried, so I now have 8 bottles of Seppelts Xavier Shiraz 2008 coming my way, maybe arriving before Xmas:mrgreen:...I generously offered to send back the Wynns but she said keep it, compliments of Epiqure!!

Wonder how many bottles were broken...the packing is very flimsy and poor, IMHO.

I agree. I was surprised that my boxes of 6 bottles did not have any cardboard dividers inside the box to prevent all the bottles from bumping directly into each other.

Thanks KPS, 10 bottles of Seppelts on the way, please keep the Wynns as a gesture of good faith! Fantastic!

I have 2 boxes here and 2 waiting at the PO Box - definitely checking immediately (if not sooner), to see what's in 'em! Its the Xavier. Oh well - maybe the ones at the PO...
Also received free membership for next year email this morning.

Well, won't fall for that again.

Opened Juniper Cab Sauv Merlot, absolute rubbish.

You get what you pay for, and in this instance.... it appears to be little more than 8000 points. (the wynns and jacobs creek were okay in the past too i guess)
Lesson learned.

I decided to check anyway, one case was missing two bottles of that red.

I'll need to make a call tomorrow.

Maybe not worth the $19 street price versus the $12.50 you paid on average, regardless it seems are at odds with James Haliday with a rating of 92 in the Australian Wine Companion 2013:

Deep garnet; a restrained and pure-fruited bouquet of black fruits, olive and cedar; the palate is soft-centred, accessible and fleshy, yet has the backbone to demand attention; restraint and power in equal measure.

We decided rather than ordering the mixed dozens for the sake of it and ending up with bottles like you described above we stocked up with some of our favourites, all of which have been flowing down very nicely. Too late to gift it once you have opened it and found it is rubbish.

Wine is such a personal thing, at least you did not pay retail for something that did not agree with your palate, and given the value of the points, I would be comparing it to a cleanskin to be frank!

I did similar as we drink 4 reds for every white.
