Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

I've also had my statement points transferred to my QFF acount, but like some of you, there is, as yet, no sign at all of the bonus 16,000 points.

Does anyone remember reading anything about when these are supposed to be allocated?

Cheers,

Zoe.

Was the 16k points shown on your statement...? Just wondering...

Farstar,

If you have received a statement and pin but no card this indicates your card has gone missing. I would be ringing Everyday Rewards immediately to report this, and presumably get one card cancelled and the new one issued.

I have called EDR and they said give a couple more days for the card to turn up.

Still seems strange that the Statement date is for 2/12-5/12 when the PIN was not sent out until 7/12.

Hi,

I just had a look at the statement and, nope, nothing on it resembling 16K.

*waiting* *waiting*

Zoe.

My 16K appeared on my online statement once I'd made a BPAY payment for the first month (the yearly card fee) and racked up a few purchases

Just tried to do mine and Mrs Rory Breakers ID check - very frustrating.

It 10 minutes to find anyone in the store that knew anything about the card, or the ID check.

Then I was told that the 'managers' only work in the morning in the week, and they are the only folk who can do the checks...

So we'll need to take a few hours off work to do this, crazy system.

Anyone else had similar problems?
Made sure to go to a major outlet (Chermside Bris) with wife for ID check.
20 min drive in the rain, 10 mins to get a park,5min walk to store.
Staff had no idea PLUS according to the computer neither of us in system despite having the letter and primary card in hand.
Told to ring EDM tomorrow so there's another 60 mins of frustration.
All up about 1.2 hours of useless endevour... farcical ID process.
Just how much is that extra half QAN point worth?

I've just seen my first statement online earlier and noticed that I have been charged interest of $0.15 eventhough I've never taken up cash advance through the ATM.

Also, the reward points section shows:

Ordinary points 326
Bonus promotional points 16,000
Total 161

Will need to go through my statement with a fine comb when I get it in the post.

My eStatement shows the 16k points plus points for my spend for the month (total of approx 19k points) will be very interested to see when both the earned points & bonus points hit my ff account... I have a feeling that there will be some sort of lag on the 16k bonus points, but the way its shown on the statement they should both be added together...:lol:

I am also still to find somebody who works for Woolworths / DSE / Woolworths Liquor / Woolworths Petrol / Big W who actually knows that there is an EDR Barcode on the back.....this amazes me that most of their staff have NFI :p:p:p

It's probably the interest charge for the $89 annual fee.

Can anyone advise if they have actually received a supplementary card when they completed the paper application form?

Called today and got on at the third ring, maybe no one calls on the weekend.

Strange, when I called on Saturday, message said call center was only open Mon-Fri.

Called today (Monday) to activate mine and Mrs Rory Breakers (additional) card, 15 minute hold time.

A low credit Limit of 6K, compared with my Earth Card at 13K.

Why would I be charged interest on the card annual fee when I've not received my first statement yet?

Is your interest charge now $0.20? The $89 annual fee incurs interest at a rate of about $0.0511 per day. I don't know when they start charging interest on the card fee, but I would think that it would be either on approval or on card activation.

The interest charges wouldn't have anything to do with receipt of the statement, I would think.

When I activated a St George credit card last year, it had to be done at a Branch, and I was advised to pay the annual card fee on the spot, to avoid the interest charge on the fee, as the interest would be applied from the day of activation.

The amount is immaterial - I probably recalled the wrong amount and couldn't be bothered pulling out the card from my wallet to get the 12 digits needed to log-in. If it relates to the annual fee then probably it's not such a big issue for me as I was worried that some of my regular transactions are classified as cash advance instead of purchase. Having said that, this is my first experience of being charged annual fee that doesn't fall within the 55 day interest free period. Without receiving my first statement, how would I otherwise know:

1. if the fee has been charged/applied to my account, and

2. how to make payments to my card account.

I think this is unfair conduct albeit on a very tiny scale.

According to Schedule 2, Rewards terms and conditions, in the Conditions of use PDF:

business expenses means the ordinary and necessary expenses incurred in connection with a user’s business or trade.

Has anyone been caught out on this? The bulk of the expenses I put through any card are business expenses. Many of the expenses I charge are clearly business as the vendors are not businesses that deal with the public.

I can't see why the card firms would care as it's more commission for them.

I'm interested in this card because I used up my 120,000 capped points in CBA/Amex Platinum in 3 months -- so uncapped 1:1 earning is very attractive.

Do you earn ff points doing BPay payments with this card...? Or only actual credit card purchases / payments...?

Anybody know what the general rule for Bpay payments...? Points or no points...?

If businesses start puting through their expenses on the card, Woolworths will make losses as most businesses will pay off their balance in full and yet earn QFF points. There is no incentive for Woolworths to attract businesses to use their card.

Woolies and hsbc split the coms from MasterCard Interchange fees. The higher volume of transactions the mire money they both make.

Card companies most certainly don't incur losses from biz transactions. It only makes them more money!

It Will be interesting to see what happens when some business expenses get put thru the card. I have a $20k limit and have only put in some personal stuff while I wait for someone to hit this card with maybe a tax bill or the like.
Let us know the result!

"Up to eight weeks" may be the outer limit for credit of QFF points after issue of the EDR QF MasterCard. My experience:

Monday 15th November
: applied for card online

Friday 19th November: card issued

Wednesday 24th November: first purchase debited

Monday 13th December: first statement available online

Tuesday 14th December: 16K points credited to QFF account

That's a shade under three weeks after the "eligible purchase". :)
