Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

Hope not - I intend to use it a couple of times and then let it sit - then cancel.

I agree - 16,000pts for 89 smackers a bargain in my books

I don't intend to cancel, I am going to use it in combination with my Earth Platinum Amex. I think the 1:1 redemption is also very attractive.

I agree, this looks a perfect match for my Amex Ultimate Card. I'll be canceling my ANZ Qantas Platinum.

It is but I have limits in terms of useability for QFF - much more valuable to me is the SQ/Westpac AMEX/VISA 1.5/1pt earn.

But as I said - 16,000 points at 0.0055625c/pt cannot go past it - anybody know where I can buy a million of these at this rate?

The previously posted status of the CC in my EDR account has now disappeared, so maybe that wasn’t ready for prime time. In the "replace card" section it still lists an application linked to my account though.

My Everyday Rewards - replace card

If your Everyday Rewards card has been lost or stolen, you can replace it. Simply, go into your local Woolworths or Safeway supermarket and pick up a new card. Then enter the new card number in the field below, selecting the reason for replacement and clicking 'Replace Card'. Your earned fuel e-vouchers stored on your cards will be transferred to your new card. You can start using your new card straight away

You have active EverydayRewardsQantasCreditCard product or application in your profile.

Note the last line...:)

I checked the thread but couldn’t see a prior post, what day did you apply?

Can't remember exactly but based on reading this thread at the time I think it was the first day the application link went live on the website (Mon or Tues?)

So anyone got the card yet? Is it sent through the post, or do you need to collect in a HSBC branch perhaps?

We may get it in the mail this week.
It is very unlikely to be thru an HSBC branch.

I have other accounts at HSBC and everything was mailed out. Like Citibank, they have a small branch network so it is not that feasible to require everyone to go to a branch.

You may have to go through a card activation process, which may have you talking to their call centre, and they can put you through a bit of an identification process, but is ok.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I actually got a HSBC account, but cancelled it 6 months earlier. If I can get this credit card, does it mean I have to re-open a HSBC deposit account with these guys to easily handle paying the account?

Cheers

I can't imagine so - there'll be a facility for you to BPAY payments in to the account, much like any other credit card.

There's a form on the EDR site to let you set up automated payments (min balance/full amount). Which makes like much easier.

Received an SMS today to call them to go further with the application form so mine is a work in progress......
