Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Gold:!: Same here for guilty for being unethical, but that's too funny.

All we needed then is for VA to page - as happened when I was last flying DJ - for a "Mr Benjamin Dover" to go to Baggage Blues.

LMAO!!!!

Could you imagine those two pages within one minute!?!?!

Reminds of me the old joke that did the circles after the Hopoate incident (though I will rejig of course):

Hopoate is now working in Virgin Australia's Lounge in Sydney. He does the night shift working for the cleaning/tidying crew; he walks around the Lounge making sure that all the stools are pushed in ;)

*credit to whomever came up with that joke - they were one clever **** stirrer: just like John!* :)

"Mr. John Hopoate, if you are in the Lounge please approach a Virgin Australia staff member at the Lounge Service Desk please"

"Come on John. Their on call proctologist is stuck in Christchurch and you are all they've got"

Clearly I'm from Melbourne - I had to google it to get it....

... the reference to it, not it itself.:o

Had Matthew Richardson (ex Richmond player and C7 commentator) and Dennis Commetti on the flight to SYD on Sunday. Richo was fantastic, asked if he minded if my daughter had a pic with him and he was all good!

Grace McClure was on the return flight on Monday

Neil Perry in the J lounge SYD T3. While I was island dining on his smoked trout and beetroot concoction.
I assumed that she would have been give Chairman's access given that she worked for QF (I assume Neil Perry, Mark Newson etc all have Chairman's) so I was surprised to see her there.
strike one from your list. As a paid employee he is lucky to get any lounge access ;)

Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton in the VA lounge at SYD T2 on Tuesday afternoon.

Not famous by any means, but I downloaded and watched a clip that was a documentary bit done by Der Spiegel some time ago. It was the story of a LH HON Circle member named Andreas. He is not a Flyertalk or VFT member and the clip was entirely in German, but I watched it all the same.

The thread on FT is here, although the clip is all but gone now (usual copyright shutdown tasking is responsible): Youtube clip Hon Member at FRA and his PA - FlyerTalk Forums

I was in the LH FCT on 18 Jun and spotted Andreas. We had a brief chat but then I was called by my PA to go to board. Nice guy.

I fly to and from TSV so have some of the NQ cowboys on the flight sometimes.

I sat just a few seats away from Wally Lewis.. Everytime i have been on a flight that Wally has been on he sits in 9C.

Peter "sterlo" Sterling in seat 2A SYD -PER today, looking longingly at my legroom ( 1A) :D
noticed him leaving the SYD J lounge. But surely he did not need extra leg room.A favourite memory is of Sterlo and Joel Garner walking onto the Gabba together at Alan Border's testimonial match.

Yes, you are correct as I think he is shorter than me, but I couldn't think of a witty way of mentioning that I had the better seat :D
