I was thinking. I can't make the flights but if at all possible I may be able to get to the QP after the flight arrives in to Adelaide for a drink. I'm a QP member but that won't help. Is there a spare guesting spot to get me into QP when you arrive here?

That will not be a problem.

You have a PM

WP arrivals access allows 2 guests who do not need to be travelling. With 18 WPs on the books, that gives us 36 guest spots.

Plenty of room for you, and an opportunity to hear first hand how the Flounge was! ;)

Thanks straitman. Yay I'm back in to the fun trip again. Well, kind of. :).

And I can show you pictures of the Chairman's lounge in Sydney. ;)

Not that it makes much difference in Adelaide but do you arrive domestic or International?

International. You will have to clear customs/immigration and then exit and re-enter through security. No chance of making your VA flight I am afraid.

QF 81 is running around 25 early today into ADL

But not something I would want to bank on. Next week I suspect they will be paging a bunch of DYKWIAs and will be unlikely to get away on time.
Yes I agree as long as I hear my name and others QF is paging Mr Ms Mrs DYKWIA

This time next week it will be mostly all over... Jessica, you still counting down the number of sleeps

How big is the dinner booking? could 3 more fit?

Re: Farewell QF 81/82 run SYD-ADL-SYD [Sat-Sun Apr 13-14]

I have spoken with Wah Hing and confirmed dinner for 30 (26 on the spreadsheet gives us a little wiggle room).

As to after dinner drinks, it will depend on how many would like to carry on. (A few of us will need to rise early for QF82). I suggest the term "wing it" be used liberally on the night! Being a Saturday night there will be heaps of places open (contrary to popular opinion).

We are booked for 30 pax, current numbers are 26 confirmed, hence there is room for your extras, but they need to confirm so Jess can update the spreadsheet. with your +3 there is only room for one more at our current booked numbers...

Thanks. I thought it was 30 but too lazy to check myself  I really don't know what the story will be with the +3, an idea that is being thought about.

Edit: if you are on VA226 on Saturday you have less than 15 minutes to get from one gate to the next, not to mention immigration. Impossible! Stay the night.

Commonsense got the better of me and I shifted back two hours to the VA232/891 connection. (of course couldn't fly direct). Will still see if I can make for flyahead.
Had to be back in Sydney early Sunday so overnight was out

Three more will be fine. When will you be able to confirm?

Eek ... bus's on my rail route next weekend ...

Choices: Leave home 30 minutes earlier and arrive home 30 minutes later or drive and park at Moorabbin. (The latter would put a dampener on my bubbles consumption... :-|)
In opinion the choice is very simple. ;)

Thanks straitman. Yay I'm back in to the fun trip again. Well, kind of. :).
Me too. I have been invited into the SYD T3 Lounge by some of those returning from Adelaide and heading off elsewhere.

If I can manage 2 beers and 3 vodka oranges in 20 minutes it may make for a carefree Tiger flight. ;)

Just ensure Tiger dont go over the top like they use to on channel 7 and say I am sorry Sir you have had too much to drink and we are not letting you board. lol

I know you say that jokingly but I believe I hold my alcohol quite well and after 2 beers and 3 vodka and oranges I will probably still look more sober than someone who has not had any alcohol. ;)

I think Tiger is going to fill that void left by VA.

I am hoping this is the start of bigger and better things. And cheaper flights for me. ;)
