FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

Today I booked a 4 night stay in New York at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. This is on the deal where you pay for 3 nights so I am doing ok at covering the annual fee for Citi Prestige.

Prestige '4 for 3' is just a stunning perk - check the savings on 4 recent stays at European hotels:

Both Cruiserette and myself have Prestige which allows back to back '4 for 3' rates - best CC I have ever had - I luv Citi!

Probably should pursue the second Citi for the better half. A definite if/when Qudos goes the way of others as still need to keep some points heading QF's way.

Can hardly blame Citi putting an unwritten/unspecified daily card spend limit on my usage politely reminding me of the cards intended use. Where there is a will, there always is a way with some disciplined process planning the last six weeks well worth the effort. Recent usage has been smooth sailing with no more payments frozen and Citi contact confined to receiving my first SMS authorisation, funnily enough to a regular local supplier and under $100.

Impressive numbers CE. Not being a huge fan of hotels we cannot match your savings. The CC has lots of uses other than ATO so I still enjoy these two cards.

Yep the no go on ATO is a bit of a bummer - but there are other alts - '4 for 3' as I posted is fab - 2 x Limo transfers is worth another $100 to ea cardholder - the free wine when dining thingy I have never tried - another big plus is the currency this card generates when applying for other Citi cards and churning - somehow I never get to use the free hotel night but I am setting out today to change that - even just a free nt in MEL will be a little bonus - just a great card - but as always it won't suit many others.

Booking the limo for a pickup and drop-off for Changi, I was told that you can only use the service once per itinerary. ie to or from the airport, but not both. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes that is my understanding also - NFI why it is the case but seems it is.

Recently or back in 2015 when they had the previous provider and system?

Jan 2016, also, I asked about whether I can book a car to just go to the city and they said no.

I've instead book the car for home to the airport and simply told the driver to drop me off in the city as I was running out of time to use the 2015 quota. (this was in 2015)

Sorry but can you clarify?

in Jan 2016, booked a trip to and from Sydney airport.

in Dec 2015, I asked Citi Concierge if I could book the car to go to sydney city from home, they told me no, so I booked the car to pick up from home to go to domestic airport. And simply told the driver to drop me off in the city instead.

So, I recently upgraded from Fee-free Signature (Visa Infinite) to Prestige over the phone. First call, they wanted me to apply online and get a credit-check. I declined.

Second-call, they said yes we can do product swap and took less than 10-mins. 4-days later I received the card in the mail.

Found the card to be somewhat lighter than the old Signature, nothing special other than the black colour.

Look forward to be enjoying some of the benefits including the limo to airport & free hotel night stay.

How does it work with the 4th night free does it credit exactly the 4th night back or the average over the period? If it's the 4th night back that could stack well with a stay two get third night free or similar

can't stack.

i believe it's 4th night that is free (still pay taxes) so it's not a straight 25% off.

genuine query - how come you want to use in SG? i don't think i've found a simplier airport for grabbing a taxi, and at a reasonable price to get into a downtown hub. (even if you take the merc taxis which i generally avoid)

I booked the Marriott Marquis in NYC and after allowing for taxes it saved between $300 and $400 by using the Citi Prestige card for the 4 night stay.

It's pretty simple and straight forward really - you firstly check 4nt rate at your desired hotel then go check rate for identical stay through hotels.com - the Citi 'Stay 4 Pay 3' is booked via concierge through hotels.com - and as posted you get 4th nights Accom rate 'free' - the applicable taxes on 4th night must still be paid. You can book any rate that you can find on hotels.com - ie Prepaid / Post paid / incl b/fast whatever - just do your home work first.

You also cannot book back to back stays unless you have 2 cardholders as we do - I am not clear on the stay 2 get 3rd night free you mention - hope this helps.
