FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

genuine query - how come you want to use in SG? i don't think i've found a simplier airport for grabbing a taxi, and at a reasonable price to get into a downtown hub. (even if you take the merc taxis which i generally avoid)

Running out of time to use, and my next 3 overseas trips I can't use the benefit as they aren't available at those airports. Domestic trips I make other arrangements.

I have never tried booking to/fro or fro/to airport for 1 individual flt - but a good friend recently was flying MEL-SIN-CDG with o/n in SIN - he tried booking Airport Transfer from and back to Changi but Citi refused and told him against T's & Cs.

Prestige Ts & Cs here - in particular not General Condition C:

So so if you have been lucky enough to get 2 X transfers on a single Itinerary good luck but just don't be disappointed if you are refused when attempting to book.

Had anyone been successful asking for a van ?

All trips I had were limo with tight luggage spaces.

Have a 3-person trip coming up . Will see if they provide something that is more suitable, luggage-wise.

In May I used my limo rides for HK airport to hotel and back to airport. Sounds like I managed to fluke it? I think my original booking was made in December which might explain why. Might booking each leg as separate requests say a week apart be a workaround?

It could be alby - it is Citi after all so how would you know?

I have already used Airport Transfer twice this year PVG to downtown SHA - just sent off another request this morn for a transfer next week - almost certainly will be refused but hey - it is Citi after all so how would you know?

Edit:
Gotta love Citi - just had my 3rd Airport Transfer for 2016 confirmed - way to go Citi!

My US Citi is not a Prestige card. I was seduced by the 100,000 AA mile sign on for each of us. I just used the Australian Citi Prestige to book our 4 nights in NYC and pay for 3 nights at Marriott Marquis.

For me the strategy to go Citi US was all about being able to earn points for purchases which are ineligible with Aussie issued cards. Points were my first focus over other features. I think the Australian Prestige card is a good product. There don't appear to be any benefits missing from it that the US cards have. Don't need to look further and complicate things if most of your personal spend is in $A. I opted for the ThankYou Premier card as ThankYou points suited my requirement for a flexible points currency. All depends on your area of interest.

does anyone recall the details of the 'retention' bonus supposedly offered at annual fee renewal time? i seem to recall getting some paperwork suggesting there was a points reward for sticking with them, but can't find any of the paperwork. TIA.

I recall reading something like that sometime ago. I was under the impression that was only for citigold members? It was a while ago though so I could well be wrong.

That retention bonus is only pertaining to US customers - no such love for us. The best way to get some bonus rewards points is the usual cancellation threat and negotiations therein.

think that could be a workaround.

funny enough - i booked one of those (separately) prior to reading the T&C. Had no issues.

My transfer were like 4 hrs apart! i.e. airport - home, then back to home - airport!!

At Costco in Marina del Rey I needed to use a Visa card to pay instead of my Amex due to the company switch. I will have to look to see how the exchange rate worked out on my Citi Prestige Australian credit card. It was the first Visa card I could find in the two wallets in my pocket.

Ouch 0.7318 is a really cough exchange rate when the real rate was 0.77. I won't do that ever again despite the Kris Miles earning.

I was pleased it was paying a very small trolley of Costco goods.
My US credit cards for earning points/miles are Amex and MasterCard and US Costco take neither.....only Visa now.
i have a US debit Visa so I will use that.....the latest television sets are 80 inch and won't fit in the boot of my hired Nissan Sentra so I went the Alaskan King cab legs instead.

Hahaha, good work! That's unreal they only take VISA? Do you know why that is? Have they got some sort of special association with Visa or something?

Yes it is Costco's new partner for payments. They dropped Amex for a lower cost deal with Citibank and Visa.
