FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

I have charged various insurances to my prestige and received points - only personal insurance though (eg. life, income protection, house and health)

Is this to be the "Prestige" standard of customer service ?

Does the following appear similar to anyone here ?

I needed to contact Citi Prestige on two separate occasions recently.

Entered the CC number, followed by DOB & then PIN...... to meet a human being who then requested me to read to him / her the same CC details, the same DOB and more [mother's maiden name, mobile number etc...] before they would start to answer my queries.

Strange creature indeed to go through the same hoop twice !

What are they thinking of [in terms of card security] to require verbal recitation of the same info you just manually enter 35 seconds earlier ?

********

RANT OVER !

I've had the same experience but less so recently. Happens when the data you enter into the IVR doesn't flow through to the operator. Generally it does and they just ask me to confirm my name. Sometimes easier to HUACA than recite everything again.

It was David Jones food hall grille for lunch today in Sydney.
The lady sitting next to me was a credit card exec for guess who?
Yes Citibank!
She tells me to definitely use the concierge service that CE has mentioned for hotel bookings.
She confirmed the bonus points transfer was very popular a month ago.
She says the Credit Card call centre was improving......must try that sometime....
Apparently Citi has millions of U.S. Credit cards on issue and said the number of cards in total was about the number of folks who live in Australia. I felt glad we have 2 Australian cards and 2 U.S. Cards.

Another $50 in value coming my way. Living 47km from MEL the Chauffer Service is now little value to me.

BUT

Am off to PEK on Sun Morn Dep SQ218 at 00:05 - so have arranged dinner in Fitzroy St, St Kilda Sat evening then Limo to collect me at 10:00 to transfer to MEL - PERFECTAMUNDO!

The view from our seats tonight, that we got through the Concierge when everything was sold out, for the Liverpool v Brisbane Roar game. Friends are complaining that it was far better view than they had and they paid premium prices and rang as soon as it opened.

Use the Chauffeur Service from Brisbane Airport to home last week. Only just made it into the 15km radius and we are about 3km from the city. The lady said 15km will only just get you into the city, so would only cover about 10% of Brisbane. Nice Holden Caprice.

I recently upgraded from Citi Sig to Prestige. Was enrolled in QF points on sig (signup bonus) for a month before the swap, asked to be switched to citi points when i activated the prestige. Geez what a nightmare.

2 Months and many calls later and it's finally fixed. They manually credited the missing points, no idea how they came up with the number but it's about 30k more than I expected, and on top gave me another 40k as a good will gesture for the trouble.... now time to start abusing it.

Made use of the 2pax PP lounge card a couple of times on a trip last month with a mate...

Does anybody know if a supplementary card holder travelling with the primary holder is also entitled to meet and greet for free?

Also, has anybody used this service at Perth airport arrival or departure. Is it worth it, do you get whisked through immigration/customs or do they just hold your hand in the queue?

Interesting question mew - TBH I have never used M & G as have never felt the need so cannot help at all.

But interested in asking similar Q to your 2nd inquiry - has anybody use M & G at LAX? Any advantage in priority terms for immig? Have reasonably tight connection mid Sept so just wondering.

I don't think it applies in the US Cruiser, looking at the website they seem to only list Asia Pacific airports.

Hi,

Did you need to show your payslips again when you upgraded to prestige?

here's what i got back from earlier this year when i asked this question

Complimentary airport Meet & Assist Service twice per calendar year between the primary and secondary cardholder in the Asia Pacific region
Citi Prestige cardmembers can enjoy efficiency of fast track immigration when travelling within Asia Pacific.
As you arrive at the airport to fly to your destination, or touchdown in your chosen location, meet & assist agents can be waiting to assist you. From meeting you at the air-bridge for arriving passengers, or at the kerbside for departing passengers, they will ensure that the stress and strains of the airport are smoothed away along with the queues.

- Arrival passengers met at the air bridge.
- Departing passengers met at kerbside

- Open to primary and supplementary cardmembers (Limit shared across the cardmembers)
- Available twice in a calendar year across primary and supplementary cardmembers
- Only airports in the Asia Pacific region

* Airport services vary by airport.

Weblink to view the list of airports :

.

NOTE :
The Meet&Assist service is designed for 1 person at a time, since it entails assisting and guiding the member through the immigration and custom norms across the airport; hence if travelling with a companion, there would be extra charges for the additional traveller(s).

Ok thanks. What is the minimum credit limit of the prestige? I will try and increase it on my signature to that level.

Thanks,
K.

Card upgrades are always approved so long as you meet the minimum credit limit for the new card. No payslips, no credit checks, just a simple call to request

I am not sure if this is the place to ask the question.

I utilize the prestige card for points and was wondering if members had a transfer partner that gives the biggest bang for your buck.

I am a Gold QFF member so have been using the points with qantas but reading through the different threads it appears that Qantas redemption rates are among the highest in the industry and not great value for money. Eg. is having a domestic fare upgraded to business bne-lax was 72,000 points one way.

Was very disheartened to learn that people were getting return business class flights with 100k points with other airlines.

Any insights as to which program is best to use? Krisflyer, AsiaMiles, Velocity?

Appreciate the knowledge in advance.

I have known of people with credit limit in the 20s holding prestige. So I am not sure there is a minimum credit limit.
