paired with this lovely red:

(Sorry, I don't drink white - red goes with everything in my view)

I see 4/88 just a shade after resumption post lunch.

That ain't good. Slow and getting our butts handed to us. Again.

Okay, time to catch up on play after being turfed out of the Bradman Room so the sods on the 1:30pm 2nd sitting.

Main meal (with another bottle of Henschke):

This was where the fun began. The waiter, in putting down the bottle after pouring glasses, happened to break a glass full of Henschke. Poor lad, an experienced waiter as well. We had staff fluttering all over us, clearing plates, glasses and mopping up the wine.

Short story - the guy that bought the bottle got $30 off the price (given it was $190 on the menu and ~ 6 glasses to the bottle).

Then onto dessert. We'd finished the red wine and with my father not being a dessert person, I attempted to eat two of these:

I have a serious sugar load now :o

Back to the cricket. What the hell happened? Clarke, Warner and Bailey have given away their wickets. Warner for 49 - he was the mainstay.

5/117 - and here I was hoping we'd be 5/300 at stumps. Might not happen now

People spotting - on my way out of the Bradman Room I spoke to 4 ladies who dined together today. Great to see women who love the game. Very small world as usual - the friendliest one has a son that went to my school and husband in my industry. Then up comes Brendan Cannon (ex-Wallaby) and get introduced to him.

Now back at my outside seat, in the shade, waiting for a while before my next drink.

Smith starting to show Swan and the rest of the Aussies how to play spin. His first charge almost got him out (bat rotated in his hand and the ball only just cleared Pietersen). His next ball was text book what he should have done the first time - four all the way

Edit: better make that another four from Smith off Swan. Then he gets out 2 balls later....

Now we are finally getting a decent partnership going. Haddin on 50 and Johnson just hit a 6 to get to 45. 6/212

There is no way the Poms will bowl the required 90 overs today without an extension of 30 mins today

Ahhh, lunch time in The Bradman Room.

Sir Don was a great friend of my Great Aunt. I met him a few times. And have quite a few of his signatures and two personal letters written to us.

Yay! Johnson got his 50 and we got 100 partnership as well.

Johnson now 64 and Haddin 63. 6-242

Stumps in 10 mins - I think not

He is still the worlds best batsman. I am fortunate to be a 1/3 owner of one of his signed bats.

Sorry Sachin...

After Johnson's departure, looks like Haddin does not have much faith in the rest of the tail. Next three balls went 4 4 1.

Well both Siddle and Harris can bat - Siddle has a first class 100 and Harris a number of 50's

If loose balls are presented they deserve to be hit
