First Qantas A220 revealed

It didn’t go up as fast or steep as the 717 which is my favourite takeoff, was my only complaint 😜.
717 is very old, so I wonder how up to date the performance data is? Airbus were pretty hot on using the minimum engine performance necessary for any part of the flight regime, and made it easy to calculate and use. I'd suspect 717 has less choice available.

Mind you, some hoons might be inclined towards using more than strictly necessary.

Looks like X4A has been grounded a fair bit. Was looking forward to flying it today, but alas another time.

Back on a 717 we go.

Boeing at it again with faulty planes....QF taking shortcuts on maintenance, why why?

Just invest in some new birds QF, c'mon get with it.

Passenger's no idea at security gates and the priority lanes total debacle, que jumpers, just not match fit I'd say.

Engine problems with X4A?? How can this be given its such a new aircraft!
New engines and parts can have issues. Don't worry about that.

Anything mechanical, parts can be misfitted, dislodged etc.
An aircraft goes thru monster conditions, hot cold vibrations etc.

Electronics...enough said.

I notice a bunch.of 220 flights have been cancelled for the rest of the week as a result. Unfortunate.

This is also mainly due to crewing issues with pilots. A lot of unplanned sick leave at the moment.
As opposed to planned sick leave? I'm sure it's the old story of not catering for any sick leave at all, and then being surprised that people aren't falling over themselves to fix your management issues. And they do get along so well with their pilots.

Thought I'd note X4A was back in service on April 12th and has been flying legs for the past few days (but today had delays - no clue why though)
