PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

is it cheaper when u pay ann
Probably - I can't recall. I guess it becomes clearer when you proceed towards taking out the subscription. You can try it and back out before payment.
Yes, 12 x USD9.99 monthly = USD119.88 compared with USD$99.99 annual.

Gold AFF members get one $15% discount - better off with an annual with that one (my renewal early this month at USD84.99 came through at AUD118).

Anyone able to check QF1 leaving Syd on 31st July.
Much appreciated.

Not sure if you are going all the way to LHR, so here are loadings for DXB and LHR:

SYD-DXB F8 A4 J9 C9 D7 I0 W9 R9 T0 Z1 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M8 L7 G0 E0
SYD-LHR F9 A5 J9 C9 D6 I0 W9 R8 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 S3 G0 E0

QF63 shows J7 C4 D2 I0 W0 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 G0 X9 E9

Not much availability in D or I generally suggests lower chance of upgrade.

QF64 is J9 C9 D9 I8 W9 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 X9 E9

A bit early to be sure, but good D and I availability augers well.

P.S Glad you found the thread!

Thanks heaps, thanks for those who inserted links, i thought if i replied to a thread it would have just continued in the previous thread and been lost. however helps when not doing on my phone but on actual computer! We'll just keep hoping for outward journey with bix extra chance by sounds of it on homeward. someone did mention easier to get upgrades on weekday.

I know I asked a couple of days ago but could I ask again for someone to check please.
Upgrade to J request put in for QF18 LAX-SYD saturday 25 July, but nothing so far. But lots of movement around the cabin.

Upgrade fairy has been busy working for us on our footy weekend. 10,000 points off a flexi paid for seat is just fine.
I am in the Virgin lounge this morning and Mrscove is in the Qantas lounge. We will meet up at the Melbourne end.

Sounds like a stress-free way to travel ;):p.

Could someone with EF possibly pull a seatmap for QF16 on Sun 26 July please? Here's what we've got at present. In a party of 3 only PS, I'm not counting on an upgrade but am hoping for row 44.
