PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

re: Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

I know it is a long way away but someone please post flight availability for

QF010 SIN-MEL 16 Jun 2011
QF009 MEL-SIN 14 Oct 2011
QF031 SYD-SIN 14 Oct 2011
Flights appear to have light load based on seat map on QF website. I had to book the flights last night on Australia Day sale on QF0010 and QF031. I was allocated 51C for both flights although 50ABC were available. I have pre-allocated 80K and 80A for now.

So what time are you flying out? I am currently in the MNL CX/QF F lounge awaiting my return flight to HKG-TPE on an MR. Expect to be here for another couple of hours.

AFF tag on display. :)

Sorry mate 1A now taken. All seats appear full. Indeed a full flight.

Let us know how you get on.

Those MNL lounges are nothing to write home about are they?

Indeed it was chokers! I think there were two spare J seats and was given to staff travel. I wonder whether Neil Perry himself would eat what was served for dinner.
Had a good crew though and that made up for it!

Re lounge: You are not wrong!! At least next door at the CX first lounge is much quieter and better. Never go into the QP in MNL if you can help it! about time they sort out T3 and move all international travel there, T1 is a disgrace!

I find Ric dinner usually depends on where you are flying out of. I am sure I have eaten Carabou in BA F out of MNL!!

T1 should be blown up, a relic from the 60's.

Welcome home

Hey Crew, first timer.

QF11 SYD-LAX 8 Feb 2011 Seat 68A can you confirm A380?

return

QF12 LAX-SYD 18 Feb 2011 Seat 62A, again is this A380?

Are these seats OK?, I have NC cans (Bose QC15's)

Can you tell me if the flight is empty, a chance that the seat next to me is vacant?
2-1-4-3 configuration?

Both legs Economy O, no upgrades I'm guessing.

QP Bronze, so at least I get the lounge and extra kg's?

cheers

Al

Hi aaa67,

Welcome to AFF.

From Expert Flyer, the seats you have allocated are normal window economy seats and currently you have no one next to you on either leg.

The flight over seems reasonably full and the return shows a lot more unallocated seats. Remember though that it may be just booked and unallocated and not is no real indication of how full the a/c may really be.

Re: Should I try for A380 upgrade from Biz to First before check-in?

Which date and flight number? I can check loads in EF if you'd like.

QF9 Feb 18. Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll put some heat on the colleague. He's got a million points for God's sake! Really, 1m. It just seems bad form though to sit in another part of the 'plane if you are both on the same mission, no?
