For those who have been comped status

I was comped this year (75 short) but have just made my number today. So hopefully I'll be fine for a comp should I ever need it in the future.

It actually showed retained Platinum on my profile from early Nov. No mention of a comp.

2 years ago I made PS because of JASAs.
Last year the JASAs were not as prolific so with my anniversary being 30/11 I am only half way to retaining PS.Checked my account on Monday and there is the message-congratulations you have retained silver status-so comped 2 years in a row.this time without any QF bookings in the pipeline.

So the date has ticked into my anniversary month , I've got the four ~ for the year, but it looks like no comp at this stage. Holding off booking a J ticket to Canada with QF on this, might be time to give CX a call - may as well get value for money if the status wont be there.

Seems like others are notified in their anniversary month?

I'm currently sitting on 1175 SC with my anniversary date being 31st December. ( I will have 1225 SC by the end of this month with a few flights still to take)

I logged into my QFF account today and I have already have the message stating
"congratulations you have made platinum for another year."
I phoned up the FF service centre to query this and they said they are giving me "platinum as a gesture of goodwill for my loyalty".

The operator did say to me that I'm more than welcome to earn the last remaining status credits to qualify for platinum in my own right before December 31st.

I did fell that the operator was being very careful with the words she used, implying that complimentary status is not an automatic given.

It's nice to fell loved though

Pretty common for a review to take place early in the month of expiry - and then your new card (if comped) arrives about the 15th.

Also best off getting over the line as reportedly (speculation only) only one comp in a row

Same here. I'm on 1140 with anniversary date being the end of December. Logged in today to see the congratulations message. I've got one more flight booked that will take me over the line. Still, it is nice to know that if I had to cancel the trip I'd be safe!

I found out the hard way, being comped this year may work against you in the next if your level of flying is down.

Well done. I have 600SCs booked for the month after my anniversary. Looks like they'll be earned at SG level rather then WP.

I never saw anything like that in mine!
Am sitting on 80 QF SC at it is.
Will climb to 550 at current projections (by Apr 16), and maybe 610/620/630 by end of Jul 16 without QF's input (aka comped).

I think I may have been comped WP for 2016. I only had 205 SCs this year (expiry 31 Dec) but I assume it might have been the 3 year average rule. I have got this message - hope it sticks as I had a recollection of some people thinking they had been comped and then finding out they hadn't, but not sure if this was what they were seeing. Definitely won't requal for 2017 unless QF reinstates int flights ex ADL!!

I got comped SG for this year with 60SCs last year. After soft landing to SG the year before with about 500. So really 2 comps in a row (kind of). The year before was about 2800.

Who knows how they work it all out. I think the best approach is not to rely on it but enjoy it if it comes.

So your 3 year average is above 600, the required status credits to keep Gold.

Anyone getting comped status recently?

QF comped me a year of gold until 2017. Which is pretty damn good. Considering that 3 years ago i did a mega status run in the USA in April which gave me 22 months of WP, 12 months SG and now an extra 12 months comp of SG. I would say money well spent!

Mum and little sister got comped silver for another year. Interestingly that my brother didn't get comped so he is back to bronze and all three of them flew identical flights for the last 12 months..
