For those who have been comped status

It is pssible that neither of you have been comped ... I would suggest that post #62 of this thread be revisited ...

Thanks but post #62 isn't applicable to my situation.

Membership year ends 30 September so I have a few weeks up my sleeve.
Points and SCs for the MH flight HKT-KUL on the same PNR the day before came through straight away on Monday.
If these don't come through by Monday I'll do a missing points request and shoot off an email with the ETKT number and a scan of my boarding pass attached.

I don't really care either way, since I have flights booked that will take me over the requirement. But you might have missed a couple of words in my post.

Platinum retain comp on just over 900 SC. Not sure what to say without sounding ungrateful. Thank you to the QFF team.

A comp I shouldn't need but since I plan carefully I should never need a comp anyway. So not wasted. To answer the OP about a month before hand.

Seems like I did .... also I made an incorrect assumption.

It's just that time of the month (when the pseudo comps have been generally reported).

Agreed.

If it helps my VA status is currently under review. Even if I don't expect an answer until about December, or something like

If those 100 sc's come through in a day or two then, no ...

Keep us advised ...:D

The 100 SCs came through tonight so I'm 80 SCs over Platinum requalification and don't need a comp.
I'll also be over the 3 year average next year even if I don't fly at all.

Worth noting - it seems SCs earned on MH flights are credited to QFF accounts on Monday nights - and only flights flown up to the preceeding Saturday are credited.

With 24 hours left on my year, I fell across the line with 5 SC's over the required.
I am absolutely , definitely NOT doing this again next year. How you crazy people survive so much frequent air travel is beyond me. You deserve your status and should wear it like a badge of honour.
I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. I get more tired as I am getting older.

Someone I know was comped gold on 350sc.

I've well and truely overshot SG again this year (800 or so SC) so hopefully next year if I fall short I get a freebie.

Currently sitting on 935 SC's with my membership year ending this month. Have rtn J's booked MEL-SYD and MEL-BNE over the next couple of weeks (last flight Sept 30th), but sadly am going to end up a few SC's short.

And stupidly mis-read a 50% bonus SC's offer and was a few days late booking a J MEL-HKG rtn that would have pushed me over.

Have been WP for a few years but usually am pretty close to 1200 so not sure that's going to save me. Going to miss the corn fritters terribly......

Received a new card and letter saying I had been comped Gold again this year.
Thats 2 years in a row now.
The previous year I was a long way short, this year actually passed the 600SC required a week earlier.

I was Gold for 4 years, then on the downward slide. Had silver for 1 year and only had 20 stats, letter came offering Silver again due to past flying. Taking time off flying at the moment, but looking forward to flying again soon.

Received my new SG card and a letter from QF noting that I have been comped this year earlier today.

The interesting thing is that I meet the 600 SC (and 4 QF flights) requirement late week and the renewal pack was dated the 6th of November. My guess is that QF had prepared the pack already based on their assumption that I wouldn't re-qualify but didn't bother to prepare a new letter when I met the SC requiremet.

Based on my experience, I have been 'comped' SG twice in the past three years. :) Have met the SC requirements in both years but only very close to my anniversary date.

Just ring them to make sure you don't show as "comped" in their records or you may not get it when you need it :)

Got comped PS once (only ever had been NB and PS at that stage), then went PS then SG since. I hope they don't count that PS comp against me if/when I drop SG :)

Thanks for the suggestion. Think I would be ok as I have met the re-qualification requirements for both years close to the anniversary date (and for this year, after QF has printed the new SG card and letter).
