Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

My upgrade just came through. Just in time, next trip is next week.
Noice. I’m still Gold to Dec 2022… I’ll believe the gratis extension to 2023 when I see it.

While something for nothing is always nice, ALL Gold doesn't count for much. A welcome drink is about all that's guaranteed. Which I guess is why Accor are happy to hand out that status for the tens of thousands of QFF members who would be PCP/Silver or above.
Status for nothin' but are the vouchers for free? 🤔

Joking aside, I'm not a huge fan. Just what I need after staying 30+ nights at an Accor hotel this year, a bunch of QF elites who last stayed at an Accor property when Jacques Chirac was in power. The only silver lining is I will be Platinum soon and won't need to mingle with the plebs! 🤣

So far as I can tell the status that really starts to make a difference is Accor Diamond and to some extent Accor Platinum. The latter will give you lounge and free brekkie at most properties and likely would give you incrementally better welcome gifts and upgrades. The former should at least in theory treat you really well given its spend requirement.

Upgrades and lounges throughout Asia can be pretty welcome tbh, so gold has some value. Platinum a little more, but yes, I would expect Diamond to be a little bit extra in terms of service and recognition.

Honestly though, when it's something that work is paying for and I have to do, I'll take everything I can get.

ALL Gold status applied and confirmed to 31/12/2023, for me, just came through in the last hour or so, as I happened to have checked earlier this evening as well.

Cheers,
Matt.

Have also been upgraded. Thanks Accor & QF. I’ve never been a huge fan of Accor so will try them out again as there are some nice new properties that look good - and see how they treat their golds!

Mine came through overnight - am now a Gold to December 31 2023.

Also gold through October December 23. Will be interested to see how quickly the joint benefits start landing:

October? Status years are calendar years.

Award points have a shifting expiry date based on activity.

i also received gold and had a pop up for a stay i booked for Dec to select my stay presences which i didn't notice before so not sure if it's linked to Gold.

me too - now will it stop everyone asking whether anyone has been upgraded yet.

So I know have Accor Gold, Hilton Diamond and IHG Platinum Elite - now to have a holiday

and see how they treat their golds!
A conversation with a manager at a stay recently turned to this topic and her reply was that Gold is the new Silver.
I’d imagine though that if the property isn’t busy or full of higher status folk they would still be generous in upgrades etc.

My ALL Gold came through yesterday and I don’t even remember signing up for this deal. Disappointing really, as I was two nights away from earning it with Accor spend.
