Healthy eating habits, regular exercise and balanced lifestyle can assist in achieving/maintaining good health. Medical professionals know more than I do.
I'm glad I'm missing it too - it's a lovely 21 in Lima right now
I do understand all that - everyone has to make their own judgement call..... Frustrating as it might be to the medical profession (and Dr FM made me read thousands of things, before I made it). My family all understand my wishes in the case of major impairment reducing quality of life, if I have lost the ability to make my own arrangements.
When I got home from Launceston (pronounced lawnstun here) my ankle was very swollen, bruised and painful.Walking difficult.Changed shoes to my MBT joggers. Was feeling better by the time I went to bed. This morning much less swelling and can walk reasonably well.
The MBTs fit like a glove giving support and have a curved sole which makes the pain less when walking.
Thanks - I will investigate that.you know it's not good enought for them to just know your wishes. Medical personnel will override these at times unless you have completed the requisite legal paperwork beforehand. ( varies by state)

Those curved sole stability shoes.I gotta ask. MBT?
Those curved sole stability shoes.
No - more heavy duty, a bit like rocker shoes (remember the ones they used to advertise as weight loss/leg toning ones? - a bit like them)

I would trip on those. My right leg is slightly weaker than my left and when I get tired I get a limp (disc rupture in my thirties). And I would catch the thick toe as I step.

I would have to go out in a wig, sunnies and a floppy hat, they are so ugly :!:
On a slightly lighter note.
I went and had a Shingles jab today. At $208 (minus $100 health fund rebate) I decided the cost was worth it when compared to what catching the disease potentially offers.
The interesting thing that came out of this is that I was advised that starting shortly this jab will become free for 70s and over. As a few here are older than me I thought this may be of interest to you.
