General Medical issues thread

Ahhhh vitamin D. The most overused test of this decade. Done by GPs and hospital doctors for any random reason with little to no understanding of the indications or what to do with the result other than "take tablets" at great expense.

The reference ranges, put simply, are NOT APPLICABLE for the general population (they were created for people who already have pathological fractures). So EVERYONE shows up as "deficient". Load of codswallop.

Where's that forehead smacking emoji?

JohnM and I went to the same primary school so we must have missed a lesson LTL.
I did get to hear about the walk of shame.........we never did that going way back to dating days around 50 years ago.
I would be horrified if any of our sons ever did that as there is a responsibility to get your date home safely no matter what.

I remember the days when 'a little afternoon delight' meant something quite different. :eek::D

Haven’t heard from Miss Afternoon Delight for years now.

Than what, pray tell...:confused::D

You need an explanation? :rolleyes:

Only in what the other meaning from the only one I know could possibly be...:confused:;):D.

It all started as a discussion of the afternoon nap. I am sure your meaning is the same as my understanding. o_O

L_t_L, they are just egging you on to reveal the details and make you blush as you type.
