My son was born in '74 - and we used cloth nappies, there were some disposable nappies then but they were for "going out" only as they were expensive !
I was a nurse back in the late 60s and 70s - with 3 months at the Childrens Hospital at Camperdown in a baby ward and I was a midwife at King George V Hospital - so I had done a far bit of nappy changing before our son came along
My first washing machine was an olive green twin tub !!
All our sons "going out" clothes were from Mothercare - loved that shop !
