I just don't know why au post have such bad attitude . I know the owner of a po. They make a small fee on each payment , so it's better for them to put through many transactions . Wtf is wrong with those ppl ... power trippers

Unless it's commercial in confidence, would you mind sharing how much you make from the transaction. I'm wondering whether deft's new fee could be considered gouging.

Additionally, you wouldn't happen to be in WA?

I think she said she got like 30 cents a transaction or something . Or maybe 60cents .
not in wa. She's got the right attitude - no one tells her what to do, it's her store and she accepts all type of payments .
if a particular company tells her not to accept their card it's their fault for letting it work at her terminal

went to woolies again, but only bought 1 (a total of 51x$88 = $4488) guess its a good number !
not sure should i get more or not, my local woolies seems to restock it everyday !

Hey guys - been following this thread keenly and has got me thinking of a hypothetical...

Are you able to purchase either the single load visa or mc gift card using a wish gift card? Im assuming you are, as you are able to with the eftpos gift card.
If so - if one was to buy say a 5% discounted $500 wish card ($475), and then use this to purchase either of the above visa/mc prepaid cards for $500 + load fee, would this be a potential way to replace whatever visa/mc credit card you have?

Saves annual fee, saves a little purchasing the discounted wish card, earns 3pts (if not 4 w local champion), yet you still have a visa or mc that can be used everyday/online etc?

Obviously there is a hassle of repeating this process...but just got me thinking.

Yes this is possible. The limitation is that the prepaid visa/mastercards are usually limited to $100. With an activation fee of $5.95 even given a 5% discount used to purchase these cards you end up behind every time.

These may be available for purchase online. But I've only ever seen $100 or less cards in store.

Coles also sell a $1000 card. But it is available online only.

Bought 7 in total of the $88 cards using WISH eGift cards. Plenty at my local Woolies but struggling to think of things to use them for in the immediate future. Don't want them sitting there idle for too long. Making good headway to my Explorer bonus spend though.

just bought some furniture (about $3k) and AMEX not accepted, so i asked whether can i pay via multiple eftpos, they said no issue i can see that i will use all up in another week or two..

If you don't use your EDR card you will get a printed voucher for petrol discounts.

You can load up to $500 on the prepaid cards available at Woolies but as Andye said, can't use wish card to load them. Eftpos only

So in theory... you could buy a wish gc....use that to buy an eftpos card...and then use that to load a visa/mc prepaid gc.

Probably not worth the effort. But in theory the above is doable?

In my experience loading those gift cards is a 'withdrawl' command, which the perfect gift cards will reject. They only accept a 'purchase' command through the eftpos terminal, which is why purchasing the fixed value ones works. Either way you lose 0.95% per transaction

Seems good. Would you or anyone happened to have paid council rates or water rates with them? If so, I may bank a few more as couple of months to go until they're due.
