Very good! Thanks for posting this. Very helpful.

Just quickly - can you do multiple fixed value visa cards (as long as you don't exceed $500) in one transaction???

I was hoping/thinking - purchasing a $500 wish card and then using it to purchase multiple fixed value Visa cards, that way makes it all fairly quick and easy.

I haven't had issues doing this but was a few months ago last time I did

Thanks for the feedback and help. Greatly appreciated.

I'll head to my local woolies tomorrow and see what fixed values you can buy the visa prepaid cards in. My plan is to do a test with the minimum value and see how I go before launching in.

Wish card??? Are we mixing our promotions here? I thought the Visa promotion was a Coles/Flybuys deal? There are so many overlapping things going on here I'm losing track. School goes back this week so I'll have more time to take up these promotions once I can shop on my own again. Profitable shopping from spending time at self service machines and intricate gift card deals isn't an option when you have kids who don't want to be at a shopping centre.

So carrying on this line of queries. Purchase a wow ecard from whoever, I use RACQ at 5% discount then buy a single prepaid visa gift card for $500 at cost of $5.50. Is this still allowable?

I missed the boat on one this evening...

Popped into my local Woolies to grab the $88 cards with a few hours to spare (had been waiting as I had a credit card arrive in the mail today that I wanted to put some spend on). I showed the guy on the desk what I was after in the catalogue and he says: "Yeah we have those... oh, hang on, some guy came in just before and bought the whole lot! He even had a bag to carry them all in"

He was a bit surprised about the whole thing and I trudged off assuming a CBR AFFer had beaten me to the punch :)

110 Stores within 50km of 2000 postcode. Each store will have max 40. 110x40 = $440,000 in "cash".

Assuming Sydney has the most stores.

7 Cap cities So let's say anywhere from 2mill to 2.5mill in these cards.

I wanna buy em all

Which Woolworths was that?

Unlucky that someone just beat you to it!

Plenty of cards as of 8pm 31 Jan - I estimate at least 150...
Not many AFFers, Ozbargainers in Currambine I gather (Joondalup and Clarkson stores were gone as of yesterday)

I took 15 at 11pm from local last night.... Which were on hold ;) of course paid via 5.25% off Woolies gift cards !!!!! Think it left 3 or 4 on shelf.

So happy looking at current flybuys point 482,964 :D ( this is after twice maximum transfer to velocity ). Need another 4-5 years to clear it out.

Wouldnt it be better exchange rate to convert the flybuys over to coles gift cards? 20000 = $100 There for = ~$2400

I think most people on this forum hoard FF or some sort of points as they can use them to redeem J/F Flights, arguing they get multiple cents per point in value.

Most inner city Woolworths stores in Melbourne were depleted of the $88 EFTPOS cards by Sunday I noticed.

I would love to see the stats of which geographical areas do well in these type of promotions. :)

Oh I see... Wish I could travel! :( Havent been anywhere in like 2 years.

So the convert rate for FlyBys -> Virgin isnt great but people do it coz they want points.
So Still best to conver them to coles gift cards I guess.

I just got an offer for 2x groceries spend on my cc. Maybe I should buy some gift cards at colesworth stores. hmmmmmm

I bought heaps at mine. Even gave the location to a few members here. They gone and bought it. And still at least 50 left.

Must be the area I went to. Maybe they don't seem to care

Just tried to pay BAS at AusPost self serve with a Westfield Red GC (the branch is within a westfield). Rejected as "no cheque account". This worked fine last month
Tried not to engage with staff but was asked if I had a problem-told that they had been told not to accept for bills
Not sure if this
means they have changed this for myperfect too
Addit:myperfect did work at same place on Monday

No option given as it usually is. Message came up after swipe. I repeated but not from the beginning

Addit: it was recently bought (at WW) so possible not fully activated though have not had problems with ones bought at Westfield
