Just confirming for all of you this is just showing up in fly buys under my offers ?

It isn't for me and seems to be a targeted offer in which you need to get an email to qualify.

It is a good deal if you have a Plat Edge, as the usual GC fee is rebated by the FB earn.

Came back from coles just now, plan to purchase 5x but was treated like Thief!!! Staff said: more than $200 value need to ring headoffice to get authorisation on credit card. and Declined!!! ( Coles Wattle Grove ) AVOID!!!

I rang amex immediately, amex said: everything is fine, there was no declined at all. Apparently, it was Coles are making it hard.

Went to another coles Liverpool, bought 3 NO Question ask.

I found Coles Express are more easy, staff dont care much, but not many stock. ( Get coles gift card from COLES, and use it to purchase $100 Coles Gift MasterCard ).

Tried doing that for a previous offer using e-gift cards and it states that CANNOT use Coles GCs to purchase them - would not allow it on Coles system.

Hoping not-they have had a quite few $99.58 payments from me this week
My feeling is there is a pretty good paper trail and ATO are just generally happy to be paid
It would have to be a pretty brazen genuine money-launderer to do it via a government department

The bonus flybuys points are not scheduled to be credited for 4 weeks so I imagine you wouldn't know either way

Note max 10 per transaction to get the bonus points.

What I found of interest is on the docket they are described as 3rd party gift cards.
So I wonder why the Coles' e-gc attempt in Feb failed? Must be a hard-wired response in their system.

I just redeemed through Etihad for a short haul domestic flight which equated to 0.92c/pt and that wasn't even on a particularly expensive route (as in I'm sure it is easy to do better).

Indeed. SYD-ZQN or SYD-CNS is usually over 1 cent/point in Y.

A PER-East Coast J VA reward would not be a bad buy but it will take a lot of bonus promotions to get the 90000 FB points... Could chuck a few MR points that way as well.

60,000 flybuys points is more than enough for PER-MEL in VA J.

I may have misunderstood what you meant.

I thought you were referring to what future 'spending target' offers would be made. Not qualifying for say a current activated offer.

Went today and purchased some more prepaid MCs and the docket had a "spend $330 and get 1,000 points."

It had been 'spend $80' before the MC transactions. Even purchasing $1,000 lots of FC gcs did not move it up.

Once the final MCs are purchased then it'll be time to use one of the rest of the family's card for 6 months or so I expect.
