my local one, i am surpsired, ive been back twice and it seems not one of them has been touched

Would be interesting to calculate how many cards we have collectively gathered in the last few days.

Went to post office. System do not allow split payment for qbe ctp insurance, must pay in full. Oh cough.

When I pay at the self service terminal, I select the amount I want to pay for that particular transaction. I enter the amount I have left on the card. I then repeat the process until I have fully paid the bill.

Is anyone else concerned about the issuer going bankrupt and loss of funds here.

I'm wary that if paying by EGC, we won't be able to do a chargeback if Woolworths didn't refund.

Anyone paid strata fees where it is managed by Deft Payment? It has a $2.75 processing fee for payments made at AusPost. A month ago I did it, they charged $2.75 per scan. So if I use these $88 gift cards, it's going to be $2.75 fee per card.

Last year when I did it over the counter the CSR could split payments under one scan, but yesterday she said she couldn't split payments anymore.

Anyone has experience with this?

Not concerned at all.

Similar promotions were run in 2016.

Woolies has a history of honouring these types of products - have a look at the Dick Smith gift card refund situation.

I converted 6 x DM GC to a physical $300 wish card at a self serve checkout with assistance from a staff member - or at least I thought I did.

I gave it to my wife for groceries and when using it to pay was told it has no value - never been loaded as opposed to being used. The e cards via DM show as spent on the WW app.

I will go in tomorrow but thought I would ask if it is common, or if I did something wrong/ missed doing something?

I'm assuming it will be easy to fix as it is a WW product, and not the beginning of a saga like those with Bunnings GC issues?

Did you keep your purchase receipt and separate receipt showing activation? If so, should be easily fixed.

I'm not aware of this being common.

Your activation receipt should show that everything was OK at the point of purchase.

There were reports of DM wish cards being fraudulently accessed. But this was some time ago.

I always check the balance of any gift card I buy the same day of purchase.

I have the purchase receipt. Tomorrow will tell

Literally just paid mine and noticed this fee. Never used to have the fee, paying at post is how I avoided it. I wonder how long I have been paying it without noticing.

I am quite upset that Macquarie have added this on, I consider it gouging and will be complaining to our property manager.

Paying rent in DEFT fail land | Lentz family blog

Dated but interesting

the fees are hidden inside the locked down login page - it would appear some property managers absorb them in rent while others surcharge renters,

so some dated insights

Methods to Pay your Body Corporate Levies

AusPost shown as $1.65 to the Agency

What this suggests is flat fee per each transaction or % of.... so the idea that multiple cash cards splitting the payment means one fee per card seems outrageous

Just got back from woolies
I bought 100 now.
I miscointed the number they had and after I had finished they still had 200 odd left.

I unfortunately don't have a Plat edge yet it's on the way so had to use the Explorer but I couldn't wait if they sold out

Now to find what the best thing to use it on would be

Would there be anyway to use these to replenish my maxed out amex card???

I suppose the mathematically best way to spend them is to cash them out which I don't think is possible
And the next best way is to use them at places that either don't accept amex or surcharge

What's everyone else spending it on
