Gift Cards for everyday purchases to double points?

2-3 weeks delivery is pathetic and disappointing.

I agree, here in Adelaide you walk in, pay (on credit card for the points, however must be MC or Visa) less than 5 min later, walk out with the cards... No waiting around, and no delivery issues ever...

Limit is $5,000 per day for those wondering...

Shintaro10x it's only money. It isn't like a big pile of frequent flyer points. Having said that I have almost finished mourning the loss of some Kris Flyer points that Citi did not pay. We can now walk in and get them in WA but I don't bother.

Still waiting for my gift cards. When they do actually arrive, I intended to buy an ipad and then claim back the tax as I depart.

However, my local Big W is constantly out of stock. Would I get the same bang for my buck/wish cards/ points if I go to the Good Guys or someplace else?

Cove, I shall do that this w/end. Just wondering if the Good Guys give the same points value?

Today I purchased some laptops from Dick Smith, all on discount wish cards for another ~$100 saved... Price was very good but the 5% off is pure cream

Cove, when you are in town please let me know, we can eat and drink the savings together :)

can I come too? :)

More than welcome Newk, we should catch up also again since many changes to several credit card point earning cards. By the way we can go somewhere that accepts xs cards which will help also :)

I am giving up on Big W and so will transfer my business to DickSmithE. They have specials on Ipad minis but only valid till 29 April (looking on line).

If my Wish cards don't arrive tomorrow I can't take advantage of that. I'm pretty annoyed that the people who supply Nat Seniors take $2,000 off me (on the CC), but don't bother sending them out straight away. I shall be asking what the hell they think of customer service tomorrow once I figure out who they actually are (!).

Don't mention the war ;)
It's all humming along quietly in the background

And yes indeed about another drink. Are you going to the Qantas do at the art gallery this week?
And on another note, having been away for most of the last month I haven't caught up on the QF81 thread. I hope it went well for all of you

I hate to think how much it would Piss me off to wait for wish cards... For me I pay and collect within 5 min... Me happy with that :)

For the latecomers...

Here is an example why it's a good idea when purchasing discounted wish cards, to pick up a few extra

View attachment 15301

The above is a graphic representation of a saving of $62.50 ($1,250 x 5%) A result of buying wish cards at 95% of their face value... i.e I spent $1,250 but it only cost me $1187.50, also while earning 1,187 QFF points :p

I used a Wish card bought at WW to buy an Apple TV at BigW today, to use the $5 WW EDR Mothers Day discount at BigW.
It really is for my mother - she loves mine and wants her own.

Hey, what is that actually telling me ...:-| Ok, I just noticed the fine print, got it now.

Oh, I see you got the Mothers Day extra points too and the double points?? If my wish cards ever arrive, I hope to get those on my cards too.

But, I don't follow the receipts - except that you managed to spend a lot! I ordered $2,000 worth and a slab of that will get me the deals I mentioned I hope on my ipad min.
