Gin!

Ink gin is quite decent. Think it was the first of the colour change gins, been copied a few times.

Aldi special Hot Cross Buns liquor now in my local. Picked it up. It's sickly sweet on its own (might be ok over ice cream) with a heavy cinnamon taste. Mixed in with tonic at sou ke the usual strength (it's only 20%) it's a decent drink.

Certainly not a classic gin, but it definitely has echoes of Easter flavours, and certainly better than many of the berry gins around.

Since my post # 139 I make sure there is always a bottle of Husk ink gin at home.

It is my no 1 choice.

We had a tour and luncheon planned earlier this month with fellow AFFers but had to cancel 😏

Super bummed.

Drinking it tonight to console myself.

We are also planning to visit, nibble and taste but nothing decided as yet

Aksherley #2 son calls it the deadlands but we quite like Cleveland….looked at the Toondah Outlook penthouses recently..

Thought members might find this interesting and of course it’s in super trendy inner north Melbourne !

Now I have bottles of both Brunswick Aces alcoholic and non alcoholic gin and they are both excellent (labels beautiful too in my bar) and it’s great for those nights where you have a designated Dave or someone who doesn’t drink around!

Capi low sugar tonic is great if you are looking to cut some sugar out and it’s locally family owned and made in Australia as well... better than internationally made and imported Fever tree being shipped around the world burning carbon :)

For me it wasn't just about the calories.. also taste the actual gin more
