Well I learnt something new today. Went to book at one way SIN SYD using a GV I purchased recently and learnt that GVs can only be redeemed for flights originating from the country in which the GV was purchased in.

My booking is a BNE-DPS-BNE just that it straddles the qualification year.Did you buy with 2 DSC flex magic vouchers to be able to do one ways?
Yes, your approach should work as you’ve outlined because DSCs are credited against the flight departure date.My booking is a BNE-DPS-BNE just that it straddles the qualification year.
was a good plan until the travel year fell apart. By September will be a different health era for sure.Yes, your approach should work as you’ve outlined because DSCs are credited against the flight departure date.
Well played.

I believe that as long as the PNR reference doesn't change - which it shouldn't for a travel credit - then if the original flight qualified for DSCs, then a re-booked flight will also qualify, as long as the new flight also meets the travel criteria (ie travel before 14 February 2021).What happens to DSC if I get a travel credit?
If you don’t fly, you don’t earn status credits.I’m wondering if I just cross my fingers and hope the restrictions have been relaxed by end of May, or I cancel and get travel credit.

Thanks. Understood. I realise I won’t get the DSC if I don’t fly. My question is though about rebooking with a travel credit for later in the year and still getting DSC for whatever flight I book.If you don’t fly, you don’t earn status credits.
DSC will not apply to the future booking unless it is booked during another DSC promotion.
However, you now have me thinking about my DSC flight to Christchurch. I’m not bothered about losing credits, but will have to keep an eye on NZ border policy.
If the PNR remains the same, DSC will still apply on the condition you fly within the travel window (some time in Feb next year). Somewhere up thread I posted step by step instructions on what to do.Thanks. Understood. I realise I won’t get the DSC if I don’t fly. @wannabe_wp Experience shows that is not a given and is actually unlikely; as long as the rebooked travel uses the original PNR and travel is not after 14th February then DSC would generally post automatically.DSC will not apply to the future booking unless it is booked during another DSC promotion.
Why? You can cancel and get voucher which will still provide dsc as long as pnr doesnt change?QF ought to give DSCs for those trips booked and paid under promo, without requiring pax to fly under these exceptional circumstance
Thanks. That is reassuring. Will try get it in writing from Qantas and look for that previous message somewhere on this thread. Appreciate all your help everyone.@wannabe_wp Experience shows that is not a given and is actually unlikely; as long as the rebooked travel uses the original PNR and travel is not after 14th February then DSC would generally post automatically.
Good luck with that! Will try get it in writing from Qantas
Pretty confused. Purchased same day return DSC to Auckland for a trip in late May. Obviously there have been a few changes since then...
Qantas today saying on social media you can get your value back in form of a travel credit if you cancel before end of March. (Note the social media post makes no mention of when flights were booked but the website says they have to have been booked in May, perhaps not updated yet).
