Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

Sounds harsh to me... but someone I'm sure will say "thats the rules".... by the way Robbi will we be seeing you at either of the next ADL events in March...?

Yeah, wots on in March? Must be a barbie at Shintaro10x. I love Adelaide but its so bl**dy hot, or currently so bl**dy wet.:(

On my sons account his Perth to Sydney booking shows as Classic points redemption with a little @ beside the 42,000 points deducted and I have been assured it will carry 80 status credits for his one way J flight.

I don't think it will. The activity statement has to say "Any Seat Award".
Ring up and get them to fix it.

I did call them and I have been assured that the @ is the new Any Seat. It was a first that it has been done this way. We will know next month if this is the new IT thingy.
I have a double SC offer so I will see if the same thing goes on our accounts.

This makes me wonder if I should wait and delay my next booking... Perhaps a comment from Red Roo would be reassuring and stop any hiatus that may occur due to the information provided by Cove... I don't want to book a xASA expecting SC's and points, only to be given a Classic and having to waste time on the phone chasing up...

That's interesting, I haven't booked any this year.
Fingers crossed :)

As long as you don't get Erica (who's been there for 15 years). According to her, there is no such thing as U Class, and mentioning Right on Q is a breach of confidential terminology and a reportable offence!

Just rang the premium desk to make a JASA booking CBR - HBR return. After 15 minutes on hold my call went through to the normal FF desk where I spoke to someone (Graham) who insisted he could not do it but offered to transfer me to the premium desk.

The called was answered by the premium desk by ...Erica ..... My heart sank when I heard the name :( My first thoughts were should I cut and run now and hang-up.

Anyway I said the magic words "Any Seat Award booking into Uniform class" and right on cue (pun intended), without any mention of the dreaded ROQ7740, she knew what to do.

One of the smoothest ASA's I have booked, she chatted away about how she understood why we want to earn SC's and FF points on these flights, she knew not to charge me a booking fee :).

Now I'm not sure if this is the same Erica mentioned previously, if it is maybe you caught her on a bad day, but this lady was charming and efficient. I would thoroughly commend her to Red Roo as just the sort of person I would like to deal with on the premium line.

What does your activity statement for this transaction look like? Does it say "any seat award" or does it have the "@" sign like Cove's a few posts upthread?

It looks like all my previous ASA's "QANTAS & JETSTAR ANY SEAT AWARD 1 ADT" no "@" to be seen anywhere

Either this is a different Erica, or she has received some training since I called. This is good news going forward

Hmmm, in that case, if I was Cove I would phone up yet again, just to be sure...

Am I the only one who doesn't quite trust these people any more?
