Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

I'm so tempted to buy an ADL>BNE>TSV masa as I have a cheap return Jet* MEL > ADL (with Starter+) to use but savings of points and $$$ towards a Europe trip in July 2015 is winning at the moment; I can't justify it to myself to spend 24000 or 48000pts if I do a return masa + $368 :/ (I currently have 49,000pts to use)... I need some convincing to part with my points and $$$

(I'll be Silver in September and currently only have 2 or 4 domestic flights planned for Xmas)

SYD-BNE-ISA and MEL-BNE-ISA should both be valid if you can construct something around one of those.

Have you rung and spoken to QF? If you try to price it online it will come out dearer.

Regarding booking KTA-PER-MEL-BNE-MEL-PER-KTA, it can sometimes be best to feed them the specific flight numbers after confirming Classic availability.

As ketsuzei has said: Search online for classic award availability... then phone quoting the flight numbers of the route you wish to take.

Can anyone confirm if an xASA is booked prior to 1st July and the date subsequently changed post 1st July to another fare in 'U' class, will the ticket still attract points / SC's? Or because it's changed to 'U' post 1st July it will earn null.

I've recently booked two of these, in the one phone call, both for June 2015: SYD-BNE-TSV-BNE-SYD.

That's 2 x 160 SC towards next year's status.

The whole thing took exactly 10 minutes on the phone. .

I've found the phone experience to be much better now (in the past two months) than previously. Too bad that it's nearly over.

earlier today and the flights have gone back to inventory. Both are on the A380.

I think I have done all the MASAs I ever needed to do (seeing they will be kerput tomorrow night).
Provided there are no cancellations Mrscove will be Life Time Gold and a WP into the following year so it took a few minutes to get set tonight (and I was a day early).
I really don't know what Qantas are planning seeing the competitor has chosen not to follow the leader. Not being able to do it yourself was a bit painful so if it returns please, please make it so we can book it ourselves

64,350 available for some of the flights I need to book tomorrow - BNE/MEL/BNE and BNE/ADL/BNE, so should get 2 x J sectors.

The other day I added SYD-BNE to a LHR-SYD FASA - cost $55.28 for the two of us.

How were you able to book these cheap flights.? I have booked a JASA SYD - JFK a few days ago but need to add the CNS to SYD leg as I live in Cairns. Is there a cheaper option than just booking a standard flight via the QF website?

This is probably heresy around here but I can't be bothered spending my remaining points on a MASA. When I get my last lot of cc points in July I'll spend the lot on a classic award to somewhere sunny, then move over to Asia Miles (and get cheaper cc's).

Aren't both BNE-MEL and BNE-ADL 48,000 points? How will you get two of those out of 64,350?

Really? 48,000 is the Classic rate for both routes. How do you get lower than the Classic rate?
