Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

Re: Time to ticket the xASA bookings

30 hours later, my points has not been deducted for my JASA booking.

I can't see the e-ticket number on the booking on CheckMyTrip nor have I received the e-Ticket email. For you guys who booked recently, how long did it take to get those?

Should I be worried?

Well, GalaxyNexus, did your flights eventually get ticketed?

Re: Time to ticket the xASA bookings

I'm still waiting for my Sunday morning booking to be ticketed. It appears in MMB and I have selected seats ;)

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's?

Have recently booked 3 JASAs. All CBR-SYD-OOL return. each cost 32K + $297.82 +$7. First 2 were booked smoothly after mentioning ROQ 7740. Last one got booked as a Classic (same cost). Apparently the CSR included a Classic code rather than a JASA. Fixed by Red Roo and another CSR.

Re: Time to ticket the xASA bookings

Well, GalaxyNexus, did your flights eventually get ticketed?

I made a call to the 1300 number again last night, and the agent said that the reservation is missing a payment method (apparently the CC number that I gave when booking on Sunday has vanished) and asked for the CC number again. He assured me that it will ticket within an hour or two.

And guess what? Until this morning, it hasn't ticketed.

Booking does show up in MMB and I was able to select seats, but I really want to have it ticketed, fixed, ready to go, so I don't have to worry about it ever again until the flight date. Seriously Qantas, why is this so hard?

Re: Time to ticket the xASA bookings

Seriously Qantas, why is this so hard?

The agent I spoke to on Sunday morning said there was some kind of problem with the CC system but he "hoped" it would go through that day. Sounds like I had better ring back also.

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's?

Do we have a confirmation yet if QFF'ers who took up the SC1.5 offer are somehow precluded from the SC2.0 offer?

Or maybe magically my SC1.5 will become another SC2.0 

still waiting for a call back. Is with the Marketing department and have also asked Red Roo to look into it too.

Ok seriously, this is getting on my goat. Here is a link to details of the 1.5X SC offer. http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-status-credits-flights-54616.html#post913171

That clearly says book by 31 October.

The current offer clearly says book in December, after 1 December.

If you booked before 31 October you CANNOT qualify for the Double Status Credits. Since you did not book after 1 December. Sorry Robbi your 1.5xSC bookings will not become 2xSC.

If you book after 1 December you CANNOT qualify for the 1.5xSC, as you did not book before 31 October. You will get 2xSC.

Book < 31 October => 1.5xSC
Book > 1 December => 2x SC

There is no overlap.

You do not need confirmation from Qantas . If you registered for both offers a booking made after 1 December will get the 2xSC, because that booking CANNOT qualify for the 1.5xSC offer. It can not qualify.

The reverse also applies, a booking qualifying under the 1.5xSC offer CANNOT qualify for the 2xSC offer.

Then why is it so hard for CSR'sto understand that ? Like I said still waiting for call back and its more than frustrating

Like I said, you're wasting your time waiting. You do not need the csr to call back at all, the terms and conditions seem clear. Any csr that gave contrary advice is simply wrong. If the 2 promos ran concurrently, then the first one register would apply. But they do not run concurrently.

To answer your question the csr has No idea.

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's?

Second booking done in just 8 minutes 30 seconds with a tiny bit of prompting and a reminder that there is no booking assistance fee.

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's?

Total disaster with my booking. Instead of the 48,000 points as agreed on Sunday morning + $500 co payment, now that they have finally ticketed it this morning they have deducted 101,698 points + the co payment.

Now on phone trying to sort it out :evil:

Ouch, best of luck getting it fixed.

Ouch, that's quite bad. I guess someone forget to use the slider... does this happen after you called again, or does it happen by itself (the ticketing)?

I called this morning to get it ticketed and was told by "Jackie" no problem and it would be ticketed in a jiffy, which happened. I didn't confirm the number of points as I never dreamed they would renege on the contract made on Sunday.

Now talking to one of the clueless ones who says it's not possible to reduce the number of points required for a classic award on a JASA. On hold 22 mins so far while she speaks to various supervisors who have all "confirmed it's not possible"

Have you pointed them to ROQ7740?

Yep, your LTG will be well earned :)

Yes. The clueless one found it and then said "so what's that document supposed to tell me?"

Eventually got transferred to a supervisor who agreed that ADL - BNE - TSV return is possible at 48,000 points but not the extra MEL/SYD ports that I was quoted. Apparently that was a "misquote". For some reason that she couldn't understand I was charged the copayment in USD, which she wants to reverse and charge in AUD. Now waiting for her to call back (yes I have her name and details in case she doesn't call ;) ) She is looking into reducing the itinerary to ADL BNE TSV return for 48,000 points. Obviously I will be wanting a lower copayment then, but will cross that bridge if I come to it.

Apologies to your goat. :-)

My SC1.5 offer expired 28/11.

My final comment was facetious and meant to be light hearted. :-)

She called back as promised. All sorted for ADL - BNE - TSV return at 48,000 points and she didn't need to be asked to reduce the copayment. Now I just need to wait for this one to be ticketed correctly. Fingers crossed.

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's?

Anna / GalaxyNexus, I made an international ASA booking on Sunday evening and it is yet to ticket. MMB works fine. I 'll give it another day but am now a bit worried at what the system will ultimately spit out?
