Have your say with the QFF CEO over lunch at Rockpool Bar and Grill...

Great offer from QF. Unfortunately I won't be in Australia - and ironically enough will be flying a competitor at the same time the lunch is occurring.

Wow, what a great offer. I'm sure whoever goes will be in for some interesting discussion!

A question I do have for Red Roo, what sort of questions are QF looking for? Is this an actual feedback session, or a more soft Q. "when is QF introducing ABC" - A. "we're introducing ABC on XYZ date..." scripted type event?

I realised that after I put in my questions that they could be construed as hard hitting, where as if it's a media event you guys probably want more soft questions (which I can also do as I have a few of them as well)

I have been wondering that as well - is there any point asking "What is you reaction to the status match?" We will get spin more than anything and of course the questions have to be open question rather than "When is the new HKG F lounge going to be opened?" Also do the questions have to be QFF focussed rather than QF focussed? One thing is that at least knowing the questions in advance will give them a chance to develop comprehensive and clear answers to the max 30 questions that can be asked.

This is certainly giving me some things to ponder...

Submitted for lunch.

Good way of QF to also match our AFF handles to our real life identity. ;)

Simon and Steph are open to any questions, soft or controversial! There will be no scripting and no spin - hopefully just an honest discussion over lunch! Obviously they have expertise in QFF, but are pretty in the know on QF in general so questions can be about either.
Thanks to all those that have already submitted - there are some great questions coming through.

I can't believe no one has asked the most important question, (after all this is the Australian Frequent Flyer Forum) - do the flights to the event earn points and status credits???:lol:

If QF will fly you to the function, points and SC's will be earned, most probably Red eDeals though...

They will earn points but not SC for me if I am selected. The question is will I have QP access in T2 on the journey home ? ;)

Not from [insert suburb in Sydney] to the City...

I did wonder that, but I'm thinking no...

Another just as important question, what class are the flights in?

Let me start by saying that I very much appreciate this opportunity from QF. It's a great opportunity and really shows a willingness to engage with customers.

Submitted for lunch.

That said, this is a big concern of mine. We impart a lot of 'inside knowledge, shortcuts and loopholes' on this excellent forum. I don't want to be a pessimist or seem at all ungrateful, but I certainly hope QF wouldn't use our identities to disadvantage us.

If I can come up witth three questions that I think might stand a chance, I will put them into the mix, but minus my QFF number. If that disqualifies me, so be it; if it doesn't and I'm one of the chosen few, well, I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.

Again, Red Roo, thank you. I don't want to appear rude, just a little skeptical.

I was just thinking EXACTLY the same question!!

And Y or J flights? ;)

I unfortunately can't be in SYD that day, but I'll be very interested in hearing some feedback.

Great offer, Red Roo, and much appreciated.

nice gesture from qf... but personally I would have liked to have seen the questions answered here on AFF.

unscripted and no spin? but the questions have to be submitted in advance....

a conference hall setting, anyone welcome to join would have been more in the community spirit we have on these boards.

my questions (not that I am entering):

  • why can't qf offer confirmed upgrades?
  • when will award fees charged for bookings made by telephone (that can't be completed on line) be dropped?
  • fuel surcharges on award seats... where to start... we already pay the surcharge once when we accrue the points, then we have to pay again to use an award (which may now cost in the region of an ID90).
  • will qantas confirm the continued availability of lifetime silver and gold at the 7,000 and 14,000 thresholds?
  • will qff confirm the benefit to use the forward lavatory by platinums sitting in row 4 :D. (just kidding!)

finally, I have to admit the first thing I thought of when I read this was 'is this a competition'? (trade promotion lottery) is the total value of the prize pool over $5000? does this require state permits? (I don't know... asking :))

Questions ahead of time - pretty obvious, so they can be answered, the lucky winners are meeting very senior people who as all senior management will know, may not have the specific right information at their fingertips as it is delegated to someone. You wouldn't want a stack of 'I'll check and get back to you' answers... Boring!! I'm sure it wont stop people asking some impromptu questions anyway :)

Totally OT but regarding the competition it's clearly a 'game of skill' therefore no permits. Prize pool is not a factor.
