Qatar N class ticket, booked December 2013 for travel next week. Will it earn points/SC's?
I note under the new system N earns nothing. I can't find any pre change tables on the QF site.

Qatar has only just joined Oneworld, so I'd say the current table represents the situation and it'll earning nil.
...everything says they are changing the quanta of earning, slowly, not the fares that do and don't earn. My answer also still holds.QR joined oneworld back in October, well before sequel booked their ticket. Sequel's question about earn prior to QF's July 1 changes holds (though I can't answer it!)

Pull ya head in, medhead.
"Only just joined" does not equal 8 months ago.
Enjoy those eggs!!

Hi Sequel, what is being said is that you won't earn since your flight is after 1 July. Your earn is based on the table at the time of flight - not booking.
However, your question as to where someone can find the earning table for QR flights taken between Oct and June 30 holds.

BD
I am saying absolutely nothing about 1 July. I am saying N fares do not earn regardless of the changes at 1 July or not. As I said the changes at 1 July have not changed the fares groupings for partner airlines. 1 July has NOTHING to do with it.
Oh and how old is ONEWORLD BTW? How does that compare to 8 months?
It has nothing to do with 1 July. You might like to have a look here: Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Terms & Conditions Then you will see that there was a new earning table for Qantas and Jetstar from 1 July and the pre-30 June Qantas and Jetstar table is also listed. You will also not there is no such separation for partner earning.
Over the last few weeks I've told a lot of people I'm changing FF programs because of the QF taxes, general lack of ability to use QFF points how I want and these recent changes. It's amazing to me how many Mr/Ms Occasional Flyers have stared at me in astonishment and then said "I thought you can only earn points in QFF when you fly on QF".
There's opportunities for other airlines to move in here if they are interested, I think. QFF is currently profiting from the ignorance of the average flyers who don't know they have other choices. But Mr/Ms Average Flyer is starting to realise that the flights they previously earned 1,000 points for now earn 800 (for example) and they are beginning to be dissatisfied and to question their FFP choice. Lesley Grant will have retired on a fat bonus by the time it starts and the QFFP will probably have been sold off, but when the word gets around that the QFFP is not the only FFP I think the profitability will start to decline.
where they previously flew QF Blindly they now go for BFOD. This will bite QF in the back side in my humble opinion.
Flight bookings is one issue for sure. I'm talking about the FFP specifically though. People will get wise eventually to the fact that they can still fly QF but can choose another FFP to credit those flights to, and that other FFPs offer better redemptions.

I doubt the average person could be bothered to sign up with and accrue miles to another OW airline, ie AA, BA etc...
Fair point too.
So if we credited to AA and flew QF say MEL-SYD how many points would one earn on a Red Deal and how many points would it cost to redeem for a one way MEL-SYD and what would the fines be?
If we look at QF then it would be 800 points and require 8000 points to redeem and around $33.00 in Fines for a flight valued at around $100.00 so 10 flights plus $33.00
Or what if we credited to CX or MH wonder which one would represent the best value to the non frequent frequent flyer
