Hertz not crediting since November to velocity?

I've got 5 or 6 Hertz rentals from October to last weekend that haven't credited yet. Tried the Hertz online claim form, but it rejected the rental ID numbers I input for all of them - their website also failed to bring up the receipts for all those rentals (I wanted to check if there was a different number I should have been trying to enter). I seem to have successfully deleted any record of QFF from my Hertz profile and Velocity number does appear on the little shopper docket receipts they issue upon returning cars. Mind you their system still thinks I live in Florida for some reason :-| despite only ever having my Sydney address on file.

This morning I've had an NZ rental from late January post to my Velocity account (with an unexpected Platinum bonus!). But still nothing from a late December rental in Brisbane.

I thought Hertz paid at something like a flat rate of 800 points - but now that I see this Brisbane rental was potentially worth 4700 points with plat bonus I think I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it does turn up.

Just called Hertz and was advised that they were told by Velocity last week of the widespread issue. Both Velocity and Virgin are working on the issue at the moment and the matter should be resolved quickly. So I'll give them another two weeks before calling them again. :)

Had some Europcar points credit today from 5/2, come on Hertz, really cannot be bothered with you any longer, Presidents Circle or not, you are not worthy of 30 rentals a year!

I am waiting too. Certainly not inspiring me to move any business over to Virgin. Contacted Hertz and then got back to me very quickly saying points have been sent to Virgin. Contacted Virgin and havent heard anything. Poor service levels.

I don't think the issue is with Vigin, my europcar points are crediting, however Hertz not, nor are they going through to my VS account when my Avis ones are.

"Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, your request could not be processed because, our records indicate this rental was previously awarded 396 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points on or around xx-xx-xx based on the information reflected on the original rental record." from Hertz.

It's only common sense to know the issue is with Hertz, Virgin they don't get paid until the points post, and given they make money in selling the points and also the customer using them, it's only natural they will credit them as soon as possible. Having seen the mess that is Hertz's FF systems first hand over the past few years as someone who averages 100 rentals a year, I guarantee it's Hertz that has the issue, just ask the folks who have Hertz still trying to credit their QFF account!

well every other travel related business that I have contacted over the past years, airlines, car rental companies, hotels have taken the time to reply to email requesting information.

Virgin - nothing at all. Very poor effort. I could have at least received a thank you for your inquiry, as yet we havent received the points from hertz, please check back in another 4 weeks time. we appreciate your business and please dont hesitate to contact us again if you have any other issues etc etc..

Earlier in the thread Virgins response was reported after a phone call was made on this subject, you may wish to try the same if you want to hear for yourself as opposed to an email reply that may take a while, if in fact it's something you are anxious about as you appear to be?

I'm the same too, none credited since Nov, Hertz admitted on the ph its their problem, they are aware of it and working on it. Its actually been hopeless for over 12 months, yes I too couldn't get rid of the Qantas FF details no matter what I did, so half of the other bookings over the 12 months have tried to credit to Qantas and they no longer award points to them. Getting sick of the cars they give me too, i've had 3 that have had mechanical problems, and recently I booked the standard Camry and they "upgraded" me to a Corolla!!!! When I went inside and said excuse me i've paid for the Camry the customer rep said, oh well a Corolla's almost the same, and I said nope, its cheaper, and its smaller and I like the bog standard Camry because I rent them so often I can just get in and drive. She said well if you wait i'll give you one, I said thankyou :-) Not seen an "upgrade" to anything of a higher grade that they chat on and on about on the site, but as long as I get a Camry i'll live. On the recent deals for the Luxury Vehicles I booked a Merc, my seat belt quit retracting on the first day, the Hybrid Camry kept stalling and the Lexus had a fuel line problem and I kangaroo hopped around Melb. Not feeling any love for the 20+ rentals I do a year.

Had a Hertz rental credit today, with the activity date of Feb 29, and a RA number of 612xx_xx_x which is so old I cannot even see the receipt!

Markis

I think it s a random lottery today! I had my last rental on 21 Feb post overnight, but still have 10 missing between Mid November and end of February.

I rang Hertz yesterday and was told that the reason that they had not credited was because it is only a new partnership, and I'd not exist last year! What the????

Have now lodged the missing rentals on the Hertz website.

just had 6 credit 2 Mar, but there are more than that missing, will have to find the time to sort thru and find out all the ones for about the last 12 months that have not credited and hit them up for them, sigh.

Hi,

Mine all posted over the last few days as well. I also got all my accomodation points sorted out from the Choice Hotel group sorted out too. I did ring Velocity a fair few times, and followed them up when they didn't deliver on timeframes they promised - but all in all, I am pleased that it is now all sorted out.

Now to tackle AMEX for their 5x Bonus Partner points that no one on the Centurion team seem to know about - even though the promo is still on the website !

Cheers,

Brooke

I had a Hertz rental post today ... with zero points. Might have to follow that one up I think!

I rented with Hertz a couple of weeks ago and there were a couple of issues. Firstly the booking didn't come through as a 'Club Gold' booking but wasn't a big issue as they had cars available for the upgrade. I have received the points credited to my account today but the activity date is showing as a couple of days ago. I have the points and bonus points at least.
