Hertz not crediting since November to velocity?

If your crediting to Velocity for anything under $400 of rental I would suggest your getting poor returns.

Not sure if there's BT streaming as I didn't try it.

The 320 has cost me just under $500 for 4 days with full cover (nil excess)

Do you have an iPhone or iPod? If you do, did you connect either by USB? Did they work?

Some are under $400 some not. I use the KISS principal (or possibly just lazy) all points from Hertz and my credit card go to Virgin Velocity whom I try to use exclusively as my travel is mostly domestic and trans Tasman.

Given the earn rates on some schemes are over 1000 miles per rental, it pays to be savvy.
Less than a month of rentals comes with a free J trip to Asia, just pay the taxes.

Same here, but I do credit some short rentals to Virgin Atlantic!

No iPhone or iPod. Tried connecting the USB with the S3, but didn't play any music.

My base rental is about $200. So I imagine I would get 200 x 3 points + 50% bonus as VA Silver = 900 points?

If its time and km charges = $200 then yes, whereas crediting to VS will get you 1100 miles minimum, up to 5000 depending on CDP.

Oh, what's the up to 5000 part?

I didn't want to spread my points across too many programs. Flew on VS once in J to HKG, but it's a hassle coming back via SYD to MEL, so not too keen to get VS points.

VS have frequent promos that earn double or miles along with specific CDPs for them, while its not the best given its only a SYD HKG flight, its not hard to rack up enough points, and they do transfer across to HH at 1:2 worst case, which is a lot better than using the direct HH earn for car rentals of 250 points (Hertz is not a HH direct earn partner).

If you paid with an Altitude Black Amex, you would have also earnt 3,000 Altitude points, which converts to 1,500 Velocity points!

Why does the Alt Black Amex earn so many points there ?

$200 = 3000 points ?

$500 = 3,000 points! 3 points per $ plus bonus 3 points per $. $200 was base rental cost, $500 total rental cost including excess reduction and taxes/charges.

It's showing 1:1 for HH here? Virgin Atlantic Airways - Popup but 1:2 here? http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/frequentflyer/fcpartners/hotels/hiltonworldwide.jsp

Thats old by the looks of things:

Virgin Atlantic Airways - Popup

Flying Club members can exchange their miles for HHonors points which can then be redeemed for HHonors rewards such as free hotel nights, experimental rewards, premium merchandise and much much more.

Exchange miles at a rate: 1 Flying Club mile for 2 HHonors point.

I converted at 1:2 last month.
