Hertz not crediting since November to velocity?

Just going through my Velocity account and only 1 of my 10 Hertz rentals over the past 5 months has credited and it was a 6 hour rental in Auckland for a lazy 800 points.

USA rentals no credits
Australia rentals no credits

Anyone else still getting or not getting the points ?

All mine have posted. Take around three months, but they have posted. Last one was December last year that was credited to virgin march some time

Excuse the typos, this was sent from my iPhone using Fat fingers

Definitely Hertz then! I wish they would fix their IT issues! Amongst other issues, there seems to be a terrible interface between their website and their main database - I've deleted both QFF details and my work address (I don't want them sending anything to my work address, which they have done randomly on occasion) and yet invoices keep printing with both of these details! I suspect if I call them, they may be able to permanently delete these details from their database.

I have just discovered why my points were not appearing with Velocity....

Upon looking at my receipts online, they still list my QFF number, even though all my reservations use my Velocity number and I have since deleted my Qantas number from my Hertz profile.

Velocity blame Hertz
Hertz blame me for making the reservation with the wrong FF number

No-one wants to give me the points, of which I am owed about 7500 in total.

Of course some are now too old to claim

I have emailed Hertz and Velocity again about this issue, the way I see it, I have done everything correctly, and I dont' care who gives me the points but I want them.

If Hertz want to promote their cars through Virgin/Velocity then get the system working so I can get my damn points

I've got the same problem. My QFF number keeps resurfacing in my bookings.

Indeed, I know it was mentioned in this thread weeks ago, but only just saw it for myself on my receipts now!

Funnily enough my NZ and USA bookings have credited correctly as the receipt shows the DJ FF number.

All Australian receipts shows my QF number, even though DJ was selected when making the reservation as I always go back and double check what FF program I have selected

Check it when you pick up the car, if corrected then it will credit fine, otherwise you need to ring head office and get it removed, it's deeper in their system than what it says on the profile.

Most of mine didn't credit (though a few did trickle in months later) and I know for sure that I never had a QFF number in my profile. Even if you do have a QFF number, surely the points should then hit (at a reduced level) your QFF account?

Their poor point creditting has annoyed me sufficiently that I've given up on Hertz and now wish I'd nominated Europcar through my DJ Platinum status match.

I have had very few of my Hertz rentals credit and I've given up trying to get them credited. I was very surprised to find that my AA number appeared on my last rental receipt in ADL last week. I had rung up a year ago to have it removed and yet now it appears randomly after about 15 rentals with the Virgin number on the receipt.

It is all very frustrating.

Combine that with the change of cars at Hertz and the fact that as a five star member I haven't had an upgrade at all this year out of 12 rentals, I'm pressing our corporate account to be moved elsewhere.

This is a real PITA. Still waiting for points from an AKL rental in March. Put in a claim for missing points in May and again last week.

I have given up on Hertz. Used Thrifty in DRW about 2 weeks ago and the points appeared in 10 days

OT but just recieved the snappiest Europcar points credit I've ever received........pickup Tuesday with a dropoff yesterday morning and points in Velocity by yesterday afternoon. I couldn't believe my eyes!

(and to rub salt in the wound, I received an unlimited KM Audi A4 upgrade from a Passat class).

QF is STILL getting listed against my Hertz rentals!!!!!!

I removed it from the system & called Hertz to ensure that Velocity ONLY is listed

I have now claimed 6 x points through Velocity

1 - Went through in a week
1 - They said the rental agreement number was wrong, when it wasn't. So have re-submitted
4 - Haven't heard back

I've managed to get my QF number evicted from my profile I think, although it took a bit of doing. My last two rentals have posted ok.

Another 2 rentals and another 2 receipts which show QF...

Emailed customer relations and all they did was assure me my account was fine
Rang up and the first person had no idea
Rang up again, and they enrolled me for Gold Rewards instead...
Rang up again and someone seemed to know a bit more about this issue and fixed something in the back-end
I log-in to my account and I am enrolled for Gold Rewards

FAIL HERTZ

Hertz Australia is pathetic when compared to Hertz USA

I have had 2 reservation over the past month with Europcar, but I am scared of their claims of "damages" and "scratches" and the like. There seem to be far too many bad stories about Europcar in that area

Take a picture of the car from all angles on pickup and on return, you would be surprised what is often missed, I had a 30CM scratch from a gutter on the passenger side that I did not notice for two weeks and was not listed on the docs, luckily its very clear on one of my photos, the branch never even questioned it!

Thanks - The main reason I think Europcar is mentioned as being "bad" on damages is because they made it to Today Tonight/ACA (one of them)..... Once it hits "mainstream" everyone has a problem...........

I pickup the cars are night and the lighting at Canberra (where my next 12 rentals are) is pretty poor

I always check any rental for major damage, but when I check it the next day in sunlight there are lots more scratches than previously seen.

The other issue with Hertz is that the Full Size cars out of Canberra are all quite old 40,000km +++

The cars I have seen in the Europcar lot have been far far newer, looking at the VIC number plates (which I know easily how old they are) and/or the rego sticker, most that I saw there over the past few weeks are only a few months old. Hertz are 6-10 months old...

I have to ditch Hertz for now, it's just too hard...

So I think I'll take my digital camera for better photo quality for photos of the car and "risk" Europcar further!!

:)

As I said I have had 2 rentals recently with Europcar and they haven't charged me YET for anything....

Europcar used to have lots of computer glitches (quite ridiculous glitches) but of late, they seem to be pretty good. I've never had an issue with them and the "damage" fiasco as reported in the press (not suggesting it doesn't happen though). Seems to me they're the best of the DJ aligned options.

Had a 40000 k XR6 in Darwin last week from Hertz for a day (for a massive cost of $22 which gives 1100 VS points), it felt like a spring chicken compared to the 75000K SV6 my colleagues had from AVIS.
