Hertz not crediting since November to velocity?

Yep $25 a day is easy for a Full Size with Hertz on weekends :)

So I really can't complain too much I guess for some of the bookings

1100VS points - Not a bad haul

This was a weekday! And if your renting Hertz or Avis, crediting to VS at 1000/1100 points per rental racks up a free HK J trip pretty quickly!

OT (and I know you've mentioned this to me already, but I've forgotten) How many points with VS is say, your example of BNE-HKG in J?

Nice I have a VS account just sitting waiting to accure points...

I can also credit points to SQ for 500 per rental from either Hertz or Europcar....

Hmmmm decision time

This is still a problem. Velocity site will not accept claim for missing points because the activity is more than 3 months.

I suppose I will have to ring Hertz and chase it up. Anyone know the best No. to ring ?

Major I feel you pain. I have been around in circles for nearly 6 months to try and resolve 11 outstanding rentals. I am now down to 5, and feel that finally Velocity is working to resolve.

I too had the issue of Velocity not accepting any responsibility because some of the rentals were more than 3 months old. This is not my first attempt to get Velocity to resolve, but this time I seem to be having success. They are not hiding behind "it's too old" line. The way I have finally resolved this is:

Used the Hertz online tool to log the missing points. This generates an email confirming that the points have or have not been processed, and will confirm that will be credited to your Velocity account within a specified timeframe.

I then printed out each of these emails, together with the copy of the associated Hertz invoice showing Rental number, value etc and emailed them along with an email setting out my issues to Velocity.

They have been perfect in their communication, setting timeline and outcome expectations, and I expect this will be finalized next week.

Don't waste your time trying to call Hertz, I felt they just didn't care, and simply directed me to their online claim tool!

My last 3 hertz rentals have credited within 3 weeks of returning the vehicle. Not quite sure why there is such variation in what happens to point submission

Excuse me for <redacted> disagreeing with your opinion, even though, in my opinion, your opinion is totally wrong

I have had an issue with hertz since January and I am thinking of employing an assistant specifically to deal with it.

I am finding avis good to deal with at present.

Nothing wrong with the herd mentality.

MarkD ....I probably should have added, my recent rentals, since around late April, are crediting perfectly. The gap seemed to be from early November and mid April! Usually just a few days after the rental.

Just resurrecting an old thread here.

Had a Hertz rental in Perth last week. The original booking had a VA FF number attached, but when I got to the counter, the contract showed my QFF number. I had a Hertz rental a long time ago crediting to QFF, but never created a profile. Anyway, it was fixed right on the spot. The return receipt shows the correct VA FF number.

And thanks to Hertz for the spanking new BMW 320 with only a few kms on the odometer. The 'reserve this exact model' does work!

I really need to check my rental agreements more thoroughly!

Out of interest, did it have bluetooth streaming? The 3 or 4 BMW's I've rented in Melbourne (118's and a 320) have not, but it is now standard.

Doubt I'll be renting any more BMW's from Hertz, as they're too expensive now!

For some time now what you put down as a Ff credit is not the option chosen at rental time, its very annoying and no one knows how to fix it, I have 7 preferences in my file the location sees, one online in my profile.

And reflects the main reason (amongst others) that i've stopped using Hertz.

I shouldnt have to continually claim something that should happen seamlessly.

Not sure if there's BT streaming as I didn't try it.

The 320 has cost me just under $500 for 4 days with full cover (nil excess)

I thought you had managed to get them to fix that!

Assuming that the base rate, excluding excess reduction was about half that, that's a pretty good rate! For the next 4-5 months in Melbourne, Hertz are charging around $500 for 4 days, before excess reduction! Far too expensive!

Yeah! When I booked, they had the promotion on the prestige cars, but it was only for 5+ days rental so I couldn't use that. So I just quoted without any special codes and got a $310 price. A few days later, it shot up to $500!

I'm in the same boat. Although I did manage to replace QFF with VFF some time ago, the QFF is still there. Now I like to credit VS but as much as I (and many Hertz staff) have tried to delete or modify the auto accept to VFF, it/they/I cannot manage it. Every pickup I have to ask the counter staff to alter to VS rather than VA, which is an absolute PITA as it means the quick pick up and drive off option can't be utilised.

Mind you, the useless Hertz computer system and it's avoidance of change also works in our favour from time to time ;).

I too have had issues with credit of points from HERTZ to Velocity, I keep all my rental contracts so a few weeks ago went through them all and made a claim on my Velocity account in the "claim missing points" area. A couple of weeks later having totally forgotten about it I received in the vicinity of 16k points to my account .. yippee! Bit of a hassle but got the points in the end.
