Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

And why when logging in on a phone, when selecting the full version, on the very next thing you want to do you are flicked back to the mobile version again?

and there was a time when log in was lost and needed again with these steps. Thank someone that this is now fixed

When doing OLCI, why have pre-filled 'select fight' check-boxes that don't allow you select / unselect flights.

Was it a black Kate Spade with coloured "lights" on it? If so, J.

We were caught up in the A380 Nancy Bird saga when all A380's were recalled. We had flown on her the week before. When everyone got to LA from New York, those on the Sydney flight were put on to 747's. Those on the flight to Melbourne only found out when they were called to the gate that they could not fly and all other flights were full. They were stuck in LA for a couple of days.
yes that's the one - so that explains it....Yes there are definitely worse things than just an equipment change! When we landed in SYD this morning- I gathered from conversations that some people had been delayed 24 hours in LA.

Why is Singapore the only Qantas international flight from Perth that I can upgrade with FF points? Oh, I forgot, Singapore IS the only Qantas international flight from Perth.

Possibly true. But then surely that is an argument for providing a Business Lounge.

Does that mean AKL (in Dec / Jan) will be considered domestic?

OTOH be careful what you ask for. If the JQ flight in the a.m. is more popular than the QF one...

Happy wandering

Fred

PS Gee I hope UL flies into PER (and codeshares with BA)

I think I mut be jinxed when it comes to equipment changes - I went to so much trouble to choose A380 both ways on our trip to Hong Kong, but due to problems with the plane in LAX we ended up on a 747 last night. Could have been worse I guess - we could have ended up with a delayed flight. However why is it that the amenities pack in F on the A380 is so much nicer than the one on the 747? Surely they should be the same in F whether you are flying 380 or 747? Or was it a J pack? Not that it matters I only use the toothbrush but these little questions puzzle me. :)

so red roo... as has later been confirmed... first class passengers were given business class amenity kits. this is the same route that qantas have run out of champagne several times.

cabin crew pre-board with plenty of time. two crew welcome first class passengers. passengers start arrive from 30 minutes prior to doors close. during this time amenity kits, PJs and champagne are offered.

if a flight is leaving from Australia and there aren't 28 amenity kits on board, and 28 pairs of PJs (enough for outbound and return if necessary), and enough champagne for the flight... why can't one of the crew alert ground staff so it can be rectified?

and there is a very easy solution.

virgin Atlantic has a large cupboard in their London club house (business class lounge). it is stocked with PJs, amenity kits and all sorts of other service items. why can't the qantas first class lounges in sydney and Melbourne have the same storage facility? (including bottles of champagne). that would give ground easy access to supplies to fix any short falls.

(let's hope this wasn't caused by another case of cabin crew on the outbound flight handing out first class amenities to platinums flying business class)

'taking initiative' would a great addition to make it 92 reasons to fly qantas (or 93 or whatever we're up to now)

Why can't I purchase multiple gift vouchers in one transaction? I needed two today (two x one way fares) and had to do two transactions. Why? If I want to purchase say 10 in one transaction I know the requirements for use etc.

It is a real nuisance.

QF seems to love to under-cater. Last time, I overheard FAs chatting among themselves about it just before the meal service...

Why is it that if I have a mixed itinerary with JQ domestic flights and QF domestic flights that I cannot do OLCI anymore and the QF site sends me around in an endless loop where I can select seats but not actually do OLCI so that I can print a boarding pass?

I understand that you can give me an aisle/window preference on JQ flights but thats not a good enough reason as to why the QF web site allows me to select a seat on QFd but am not able to actually print a boarding pass.

If you think that your customers like endless web site loops then I will fly VA instead - their web sites have the endless login/booking ref challenge loop market cornered and have done it better than QF since Jan.....

why is it that your website isn't currently working?
Two browsers same problem.
Try to search for a flight (double check correct dates), the engine spins away and then you get a message saying no flights available on those days.....somewhere in the process the dates get changed to today's date. Rinse and repeat

Why do you put my middle initial on correspondence?

Whilst I like receiving mail from Qantas I would rather it was sent to Mr R**** than Mr H. V. R****.
(And this isn't even close to my real name as many AFFers will know.)

With the potential for identity theft everywhere today getting my initials or even worse full name is the beginning for a determined fraudster.

Why is it that you sent me an offer to upgrade my discount economy tickets to Singapore that expired 1 week before I actually had enough points to do so. :(
