Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

Why is it that you sent me an offer to upgrade my discount economy tickets to Singapore that expired 1 week before I actually had enough points to do so. :(

By the same token it that situation you do something to get the points required. In any case, don't worry upgrades are very slim on the ground.

Why do you put my middle initial on correspondence?

Whilst I like receiving mail from Qantas I would rather it was sent to Mr R**** than Mr H. V. R****.
(And this isn't even close to my real name as many AFFers will know.)

With the potential for identity theft everywhere today getting my initials or even worse full name is the beginning for a determined fraudster.

ah! identity theft. maybe that's why any of the red Roos refuse to identify themselves on here or when they PM.

Not one in ADL either and our airport is perhaps the newest in Oz.

I travel to ADL regularly and quite like the design and ambience of the new airport (at least the domestic side as I have never flown international from there). I,too,do not understand why QF did not put a business lounge there.
The only downside is I don't think there is a spot with a tarmac view to put one.

It is great sitting in the Coopers lounge with a cold one overlooking it.

It could be how you loaded your name in the FF profile. See if you can remove your middle name from there and it should go away.

Why do your regional ports not allow me to use my mobile or (back of) membership card to board the plane?

In BDB today I presented my card and the agent had to manually enter my number into the system to print a BP, which made me feel bad for holding up the line, even though the scanners at the gate look identical to the ones in every other port. Perhaps it is possible and I just had a new gate agent, but I'd have thought if you're going to give everyone NGCI (at least at main airports) then avoiding a check-in desk if possible even at regional airports would be good too.

Weird, regional ports I frequent work just fine using card/phone...

Hey Qantas, why is it that.....

1. You have the smallest cereal bowls on the planet in the Qantas Club lounges? Now I understand that AJ is short in stature, but surely he doesn't live in a doll house.

2. You only allow me to perform one Family Transfer of FF points in a 12 month period........I mean, since it costs you nothing..........why do you even care?

3. You pretend that Fuel surcharges (with regards to FF redemptions) are not part of a Flight's Operating costs. And what is worse you have coerced Emirates to join you in your criminal behaviour with regards to flights you codeshare. Funny though that using Qantas points I can redeem a (non-code share) Emirates JFK-DXB J class A380 flight for 82k points + $4.50 (yes, just $4.50........how do you justify that to the ACCC....... coughs.)

Hey Qantas, why is it that ...

1. You force me onto EK metal to get to Europe, but your points calculator tells me there are no direct flights SYD-DXB, nor DXB-MAN?
2. You take away the ability to book mASAs online, and think it's cool to keep me on hold for 16 minutes and counting on the "special" number to book them over the phone?

And the same for DXB-BNE?

And Qantas, why is it that ...
We can't select a class of travel on the first screen when checking the "Show Classic Awards", so have to wait for multiple screens to load before finding availability in a premium class?
