just wondering whether it's possible to check in one day later after my reservation ..
for eg, my reservation from 17/11 - 19/11, but some last minutes changes, i can only check in on the 18/11.. is that possible ?

I'm not sure of the context behind the question, but yes... Provided you check in before official check out time and pay the nightly rate, there should be no issue.

the reason im asking, coz we are unsure on the check in dates, and willing to book one day extra, just in case (with the 50% sales)
dont have any hilton status, and it's a non-refundable rate...

havent book the flights yet.. still waiting for half of the group to confirm their leave.. and the sales only lasts 72hours
i dont mind booking/wasting one day, bt need to ensure we still can check in a day after the 'reservation check in date'

Keep them informed and no problem (there will be a cost with no benefits for the days you don't stay..unless you have an accommodating clerk). Personally, I'd ask your group to stop dilly-dallying and pull their collective fingers out and make a decision!

I have a HUGE amount of stays planned during this time but I was considering going just for the Honours points alone.

The person that racks up the most velocity points from this promotion wins a trip to the USA. Within the period I have 20 stays/53 nights. Does anyone think this could contend for the most or is the thought that surely someone else out there is going to do more nights in the possible 90 night period?

You'll need ... selected Platinum to book.

Where does it say selected Visa Platinum? I looked on the Visa Luxury Hotels website and it seems to suggest that any Visa platinum is OK. I have two, NAB and Altitude business, and I'm thinking they are OK, but your comment has me wondering.

Restrictions:

• This rate plan is for select Visa Premium Card holders
• Cardholder must reserve and pay for the room using a qualifying credit card. Qualifying Visa premium cards include Visa Signature and Visa Infinite cards and select Visa Gold and Visa Platinum cards

I may have read them wrong "select Visa Gold and Visa Platinum". Edited the original post to reflect the T&C in this case.

If you go to your region and search for the hotel, the Stay 2 promo will show. Make sure you select that for this promo. Have made a booking last night for Waldorf Shanghai and came through OK.

so for a 2 night stay, your booking would look like this?

Then have the booking total to be USD$868 (434 per night) and then after your stay, you'd just pay for the single night stay and not the 2nd(last) night stay?
