Indeed. The Hilton website now has the news. It is not possible to make reservations commencing after July 27 on the Hilton website.

As of 28th July 2017, this hotel will no longer be operated by Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Guests booked at the hotel on or after this date will not earn Hilton Honors Points. For reservations arriving on or after this date, Please contact the hotel directly for more information or view our other hotels in Melbourne.

In Exec lounge at the minute. Was informed the phone lines locked up yesterday with people calling in asking why they could not book HSW beyond 27 July. People could not even call internally to order food.

I had a chat to the NT HH GM yesterday when checking out of DT Darwin Esplanade. John was able to confirm that HH are definitely going to open another Hilton hotel in MEL. When I asked if it was to be a Conrad or Hilton etc, he said Hilton. Whilst he had no idea if there was a building already under consideration it sounded like HH were being quite active in sourcing one.

He also confirmed that the change of branding was due to the bricks and mortar HSW being sold.
