Cheers all. For those still here, we're back in The Wing sitting where we were earlier this morning.

Thank you all for a wonderful day. I thiink 16 people in all were here with a surprise visitor.

Lovely photo at the round table in the Qantas lounge. I visited 10 lounges in total and thankfully didn't drink too much. The beef goulash in the Haven was fantastic and so was the smoked salmon.

Back to Bangkok now for another 3 days of golf.

If you're still there, where is that? My dad is actually in the QF lounge right now, on his way to Chennai!

He could visit any stragglers :p

Till when? We are in the Wing for a little bit then maybe back to the QF one. Fly out 11.15 so probably depart the lounge 10.30....

Best I can tell, he's boarding his flight at 20:55, from the blurry pic he sent, but I'll see if he's done checking out the QF lounge if he wants to head over to The Wing (where he'd usually be) and say hello.

CX631 I reckon. As that departs from gate 17, the QF lounge makes more sense for him.

Edit to add: He's off to buy a bottle of wine for India now, so a missed connection this time, but safe travels for anyone left at HKG!

Ah, right. Not to worry. For those interested... I did ask about the caviar again, and they said they only have a certain amount per day as part of the promo.

I have made it back to KUL after a pleasant flight. A beep at the gate put me into PE. Thanks CX; that might be the reason I fly with you again.

I just had the weirdest dream and woke up here, go figure.....

Things I learnt:
Never, ever, ever underestimate the lobbying power of AFFers who take up the majority of a cabin.

A crusty old sea dog like me can still be surprised by Qantas.

AFFers love champagne, I mean REALLY love champage ;)

Ok well Made it home in one piece the ride was great fun from the lounge to the aircraft LOL

Had a fantastic time and enjoyed catching up with you all and look forward to the next one.
:)

PS did you manage to drink the plane Dry? LOL

Well, for those in the SYD J lounge, you would not read about it. Beep at the gate. Can you believe that, just bizzare. 1F.

Seems now that my cork has popped its a proverbial flood. ;)

I haven't been to the first or second run, but seeing as SIN was first after a new lounge opened, then HKG after a similar occurrence... I'd have thought LAX would be next! :p

Argh! Left my jacket in the overhead locker. Underneath the first class bed that was popped in there are deconstructing my bed. My absolute favourite warm jacket. Talking to baggage non-services I fear the jacket is gone. Domestic side can't register a tracking thing on the international system. International side just want to wait to see if something is 'sent down'.
