Very jealous, great pics, wish I could have made it this time. Will make sure I come to the next one for sure!

I agree on all counts. I hope to be at the next one too. I wanted to go to the SIN one, and really argued with myself whether to go to this one. I just need to close my eyes remind myself that they are only points and are there to be used!

Hopefully I listen to my heart instead of my head next time….

I had a great time, and enjoyed chatting to friends old and new. I think I managed 10 lounges, but will double check in the cold light of day. I am up to 6 on my way home so far, with at least 2 more to go. There were 2 on the way from MEL as well giving me a rounded off 20 lounges in 4 days.

Thanks for everyone who came along, you have made the weekend a fabulous experience.

I think I managed 10 lounges

In the order of visit:
The Arrival
The Wing F
The Wing J
The Pier F (temp)
The Pier J
The Bridge "zig"
The Bridge "zag" (not sure if this one really counts as a different one)
The Cabin
The QF HKG Lounge
G16

That's 10.

And then there are those on QF tickets who had a look in the EK lounge as well.

When the Pier F (permanent) and the BA lounge (former QF J dungeon) reopen from renovations, we'll have to do it all again. :)

The exercise was helpful to walk off some of the champagne and restore appetite prior to the next stop!

And how tiring. Next time maybe we should investigate an hourly rate for a buggy. ;)

LOL I Got mine for free rofl and what great fun it was the driver was taking no prisoners lol. Was a great DYKWIA moment arriving at the gate and the hosties rushing over to assist and escort straight to the front of the business line :)

Shame I couldn't join the party. But At least I got to meet a few of you at the W Yum Cha.
And I loved the Jet* story abut booking all the zero cost tickets and not showing up. I still laugh at it.

And the tip on the getting the glass bottom cable car up to the Big Buddha was perfect. It was like a 'skip the line' for only a few dollars more but provided better views, so was worth it.

Thanks again for pulling the DYKWIA with the QF host to get me a ticket on the buggy too!

I was worried the driver was going to crash from laughter at all the encouragement from us to run down oblivious pedestrians blocking the way...

LOL it was funny and have to say my first ever ride on the buggy. Will definitely have to make more use of them in the future ROFLMFAO

I thought at one stage the driver was going to go straight past my gate.

Was able to have an extra glass of Champagne by using the service so thank you QF :)

:p Still buzzing from the F upgrade, I'll make sure I check in with you from now on, Medhead!;)
It was a very enjoyable meet up, I only managed 4 lounges but had a fab time regardless. Even had a dining companion on F thanks to Joshua- hope the seat wasn't too uncomfortable for you. By the time we finished our meals, the entire F cabin were asleep, probably thanks to the champagne. Overall, a superb experience, many thanks to all.

Absolutely. Life's too short to keep going back to the same lounge.

Not that short.

Lounge crawl in BKK would be boring. NRT doesn't sound any better.

SIN or HKG would be preferable for me but in the grand scheme of things that means nothing.

For me it was great to finally see both the updated QF lounge and EK lounge.

Sounds like we need to choose an airport with a fleet of buggies. I made a passing comment of how much bowing would occur if we were all leaving the JL F lounge at NRT, but I'd vote for it purely for the massage chairs.

It was again a great 'different' experience of the airport space. The splitting up across a few lounges then coming together at the QF lounge and the trickle turn rush of F op-ups on 128 made it a great day.

Was great to finally dine face to face! In the 747 F I've tried side by side and we certainly boozed face to face on the SIN lounge run but the A380 certainly trumps it in this department. And thanks for making me finally get a peek of PE ;) Here are some photos of the F 8 course meal:

I think it's the first time I told it and had actually forgotten about it! Hopefully you can join us for lounging next time.

Allow me to repeat the sentiments, thank you all for the great time!

I should echo everyone to say it was great to see everyone and socialise. Always after these types of gatherings I wonder if I did actually talk to anyone as the time goes so quickly.

It was great. Thank you all.

The weekend also provided scouting opportunities for the next family holiday.

For next year if be happy with HKG again given I missed a few lounges due to my own stupidity. But what about shanghai or perhaps Beijing? Are there decent lounges collections there?

I don't think I know the J* 0 cost story - next time :p

Just finished my QF feedback panel survey on "lounge service" prior to QF128 - it took me half an hour to go through all the lounges visited :)
