How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

First stay at Hilton AKL for me in a month, Will also be arrived quite late so hoping an upgrade is still on the table
On the topic, Does anyone have an email for staff at this property? I sent them an email and Facebook message almost 2 months ago and never heard back from either..
GM's email: [email protected]
Ask for corner room on high floor, just as good.

While not quite the right thread, can someone advise the opening hours and food offerings in the Brisbane Hilton Exec lounge? I have some need to be in Brisbane in coming weeks.

Thanks for any info.

Property: Conrad Centennial Singapore
Status: Diamond
Stay: 31st July to 1st Aug
Booked: King Executive
Received: Ambassador Suite
Arrived at 9.30am and whisked up to level 31 for Executive Lounge checkin. After being told our Executive room wouldn't be ready until 12, I asked if there were any Diamond upgrades. There was a bit of discussion as to the original room booked, and a lot of keyboard tapping and we were then told that if we would like to wait 5 minutes in the lounge our Suite would ready.
Unfortunately only a one night stay but as it was at the end of a few weeks on the road we were only looking up laze around.
Staff were great, nothing too much trouble and very proactive. Both the lounge at night and breakfast downstairs the following morning were very busy. In fact they extended breakfast to 10.45 to accommodate the late comers.
We must try and get back here for a longer stay.

Status: Diamond
Property: HSW
Booked: King Guestroom
Received: King City View changed to 2 Bedroom Suite changed to Relaxation Suite

When checked in I got only King City upgrade. Even the front desk girl was surprised: "Wait, I see that you're a diamond member, I'm sure I can find you better room... Ok, I managed to move you into a 2 bedroom suite on the top floor", she said with a proud smile.
Me: "Sounds great, thanks! Actually, since I'm traveling solo today I don't really need 2 bedrooms, any chance you can change it to relaxation suite instead?"
She: "Well, the only one left is on level 5, it's a serious downgrade from from level 19".
Me: "That's ok, I used to live in MEL so I know how the city looks like, level 5 is just fine."
She: Let me look for another suite for you, how about Yarra Suite, I can do level 18".
Me: "I like the relaxation suites here and level 5 is fine, don't worry about it, I really don't care about the view."
She: "Ok, then..."

That girl at front desk was so sweet, I never saw anyone at Hilton trying so hard to please a guest :)

In the lounge they replaced Bay of Stones wines with some different cough but as long as they offer White Rabbit I'm a happy camper :)

In the suite the coffee machine didn't work and when called to report about it was offered barista coffee on the house which was delivered shortly after :)

Complementary full breakfast the next morning but was asked to pay for coffee. This time I asked if this tax also applies to diamond members and the answer was no! Barista coffee is complementary for diamonds.

Happy days :)

Received: King Relaxation Suite
Cost: A$199

First stay at this Hilton. Used OLCI the day before and was given choice of 5 Suites. Did not hesitate to OLCI.

At check-in given general letter advising Executive floor benifits.Advised that we could have a continental breakfast in the EL. Prior armed with information from this thread(thanks AFF team!) I immediatly questioned this and it was confirmed Diamonds do get full Breakfast in Salt. Offered newspaper in morning. Fantastic room. No typed welcome card, No 4 macaroons and No 2 large bottles of water. No turn-down and No 2 more small waters and chocolates. Room was so good, all forgiven.

Good EL, Evening hot choices cheese and spinach pastries and samosas. Choice of beers and white, red, sparkling.

Reception Staff, EL Staff, Salt Staff all a pleasure, with the notiable exception of the rather surley evening FOH at Salt. We assumed he had had a bad day.

'Premium Internet' while free, was pathetic. 600ms ping, 512k down with 5Mbps up ???????? Reception did get Hiltons ISP to call, they advised that the Premium Internet was rated at 3Mbps, and the problem was at my end as I had three devices connected at that time. "no", I replied, "I have one device connected, and that is not even using the wi-fi, I have it hard wired to the wall plate...."
"Thats not what is showing here sir, but I will do a reset for you...."

The internet did not get much faster and would have been really annoying if I was paying for the "Premium Service".

We enjoyed the stay and we will be back to this Hilton.

Happy days indeed!

At HSYD now, never tested the free coffee for diamond theory, will try asking tomorrow and report back. Wish me luck.:)

Which room is the ambassador suite?
I am planning to stay at this hotel in Dec and am trying to decide which room to book. They are doing a Discover asia promo at the moment which allows me to book higher up

Conrad Tokyo
Status: Gold
Booked: King room city view AAA rate (JOy 39,000 + JPY10,000 in taxes & service charges)
Received: King room with Bay view, box of two wee cakes in the room

Great staff, they hated seeing me trying to cqrry my own luggage at any point. I checked in at 10:30am, was able to register & leave my bags. Told the staff I wouldn't be back until at keast 5pm. Got back around 8 & had dinner of bar tapas. Turnsown included a wee teddy bear on the bed; one of which was attached to my handbag the next day when I left my bags there after checking out.
Close to Taukiji markets.
When I checked out, I had a pair of shoes in a plain plastic bag (easy to find & change into before the trek to the airport). One of the staff came over and offered to put them in a Conrad bag. Clearly not the place to have your stuff in plastic bags ...
Good thing I found Little Miss a new suitcase at Ueno market rather than use a red, white and blue stripey bag, eh?? :p

good luck. i'm sure you'll be fine
No special privileges there I'm afraid. Barista coffee chargeable. Even mentioned their interstate counterparts and their rules but HSYD is different apparently. Oh well, at least the coffee was good.

Anyone have any better luck with upgrades using online checkin with Sydney. I know it was mentioned awhile back but have not read anyone getting better success. It mentions this "Since you’re using digital check-in, we'll prioritize you on our upgrade list".

Property: Hilton BNE
Status: Diamond
Stay: July
Booked: King Hilton Guestroom
Recived: King Hilton Executive Room

Room ready upon our arrival (about 10:00am). Diamond benefits explained. 2 bottles of water in our room.
Never having stayed at this property before, I was surprised that the lounge is open until 8:30pm.
I don't know what it is about the staff here, they are just more welcoming than other Hiltons I have stayed at.
The lounge staff were in my opinion exceptional. The manager remembers you, makes you coffee, brings you things.
The lounge angels seem to have the balance right between making sure you have everything you want, conversing with you but not too long so it is to the detriment of other lounge guests.
I look forward to staying at this property again. Oh yes, I really like the elevator that goes directly to Mick O'Malley's Irish Pub.

Don't think that's true, infact could be the exact opposite (as per Hilton around Asia)?

1 KING CENTENNIAL SUITE

1 BDRM EXECUTIVE SUITE

1 BDRM PRESIDENT SUITE

I was upgraded to Ambassador suite last year and I'm pretty sure it was the 1 bedroom exec suite - 2 bathrooms, and 3 'zones' -- bedroom, lounge and adjoining dining space. Very nice. One night for me only as well.

Property: Hilton South Wharf
Status: Diamond
Stay: July, 3 nights (Sunday to Wed)
Booked: King Hilton City view - Govt rate
Received: King Hilton Yarra Suite - 19th floor.

Best stay at HSW. Did app check-in on the booked room day before arrival. Saw later in the day I had been upgraded to Yarra suite.

Arrived about 1pm. Room not ready but told I was on top floor, room was vacant so would be ready in a little while. I asked for the lounge access and this was granted straight away. Good place to relax for a little while, though took close to 2 hours (not ideal after international flight).

Full breakfast downstairs, with superb service by the staff who all recognise me. Didn't ask about coffee. Food and service in lounge good as always. Wines slightly better than before. Oysters on a couple of nights (first for me, but I gather common on a weekday?). Only complaint is the shots of spirits in the EL are the stingiest I've seen in a long while.

2 waters in room on arrival. Nothing else. But on return to room in early evening had a welcome note, congratulating me on a milestone stay with a half-bottle of decent red wine. Very much appreciated.

Staff everywhere terrific. Judging by lounge and breakfast, hotel was pretty quiet, which may have helped re the upgrade. Still, hoping for more in future!
