How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Word of warning, don't stand too close to the juicer. I was wearing white pants and learnt the hard way.

So now you have tie-dyed strides.......no extra cost!

It'd be good to save on luggage. Bring just one pair of white pants, hit your meeting, have breakfast the next morning and you have a different pair and no one would know your secret! That place really knows how to look after you!

My stays during my asian adventures

Property: HH BKK Suhkamvit
Date: August 2015
Status: Diamond
Booked: King room
Received: King exec room

I arrived too late to visit the exec lounge and was only there for one night. Breakfast in the main dining area was offered, which I enjoyed. The western food options were not as extensive as I have seen in other asian hotels, but was still pretty good.

Property: Conrad BKK
Date: August 2015 (3 stays in total)

Received: King exec room / King corner room /

Fruit in my room each stay, with a card describing the different fruits available in Asia. A handy reference.

On my second stay I asked nicely for a corner room which was granted. They are a great room with a bit more room over the standard room. I have been told that my profile has been updated to reflect my liking of the room. I was left 6 bottles of water when the room was serviced!

On my third stay I was escorted to my (pre-allocated) corner room for check in. Chocolate coated strawberries as with the other stays in my room. Just so everyone knows, that is my favourite way to eat fruit - unless it has been squished and poured into a bottle, of course.

A good spread of food both in the morning and evening, with a cook to order station for the eggs. The hotel has a shuttle service that runs every 5-15 minutes from the nearby BTS train station.

Property: HH BKK Millennium
Date: August 2015 (2 stays)

Booked: King room
Received: King exec room/King exec suite

Millennium was a great place to stay if you want to be close to the river. I stayed twice, and the first time was for one night, the second for two. A welcome note both stays, with ‘Welcome back!’ written on the second. Plenty of water, that was replenished at room servicing and turndown.

The second stay I applied for a nor1 suite upgrade, and was successful. Best $60 spent all trip, I think. A very large suite, with second toilet, and an excellent study desk area.

A delightful stay in HaNoi. On my first stay there was a handwritten note from the GM welcoming me. No note on the second. But both times a lovely selection of biscuits, fruit and chocolates.

Two bottles of water in the room at checkin, and replaced regularly (when the room was serviced and at turn-down).

I commented to one of the staff in the exec lounge on my last night that there were no olives, as there'd been for the other nights. 10 minutes later and I have a bowl of olives presented. Maybe because I wasn’t the vocal one complaining that there was no champagne - as there was in “every other Hilton” because “I have stayed in them all”. Hehe. It pays to be nice to the staff - where-ever you stay.

Property: Conrad HKG
Date: August 2015
Status: Diamond
Booked: King room
Received: King exec room

Two bottles of water in the room, and within 10 minutes I had (delivered separately) a pot of green tea as a welcome, and then a bowl of fruit with generic welcome card. Later that evening a personalised welcome was delivered. At turn down I was in the room and so did not need it, or water, or ice, or anything else for that matter. The staff member was obviously pleased about this - let’s just say that my Conrad teddy has a friend.

The internet was fast and reliable.

I should add that I arrived into Central Station on the Airport Express and there was a free shuttle to a number of hotels, including the Conrad. The return fare was HK$180, or about AU$30.

Property: DT Johor Bahru
Date: August 2015
Status: Diamond
Booked: King room
Received: King exec suite - not bad for a three night stay.

Four bottles of water, a fruit bowl, and a handwritten welcome note from the GM. I was offered breakfast in the lounge, and when I asked about breakfast downstairs was told only in the lounge. There was no turndown service. I am not sure if there was meant to be, just that I did not get one on any of the three nights I was there. Oh, if you wanted to use a pod in the coffee machine, they were $5.

There is no breakfast ‘cook to order’ station in the lounge so orders are taken at the table. It took two tries to get my omelette right on the first morning. But on successive mornings it was just fine. The kitchen is adjacent to the exec lounge, so everything was hot.

The evening drinks and nibbles are pretty good - just don’t try the red (cordial)! A good range of food, both savoury and sweet.

I am not sure I would battle the causeway again for the saving. I think I paid 10k a night. I would probably just head to KUL and stay there. KLIA is easier to navigate.

Two bottles of water and some chocolates on arrival. I was advised I could have breakfast in the lounge or the ground floor dining area. No turn down service.

The exec lounge has a fabulous spread that came out at about 4.30, with drinks from 5.30 for two hours. The bubbles was nothing worth writing about, but the red was passable.

Any more details on the 'causeway' experience. Doing 1N in JB before Singapore F1 - did the airport bus last time but think of the local buses this time

Hi Jessica am staying there tomorrow night, what is the deal with drinks in the exec lounge, any chance of a martini or glass of bubbles. Thanks

I am not a spirits drinker, but I reckon you would be fine if you asked. And I am sure they have bubbles, I just don't know what it is.

My first stay here, so not sure if the temporary lobby is in the same place as the old one, but it sure is a hike down in the wind! Beautiful view makes it worth it though. :)

I have 2 6night stays coming up, on at conrad singapore and one at conrad sanya. Has anyone been upgraded for 6 nights? seems like it is more likely to be upgraded for short stays rather than 5 nights + stays?

I've been upgraded to King Beach Pool Villa at Conrad Sanya for 5 nights stay on award booking. It was one of the most impressive upgrades I've ever received.
Wish you good luck, it's a beautiful resort!

Did you also book the base room? King Deluxe Ocean View Room

Did you also book the base room? King Deluxe Ocean View Room

Yep, booked the most basic room on points.

Edit: I guess it depends on the availability. When we were there it wasn't too busy, I'm sure it helped secure that awesome upgrade.

Make sure to take advantage of the two daily diamond happy hours (high tea and coughtails).
