How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

DT CNS
$169 Gov't
Booked King guest
Received High floor (top) waterview

I stayed there for one night about two months ago. The wifi was unworkable, unless I left the door open, or sat/stood on the inner walkway. Maybe it was just the room location (between wifi routers). Did you try the wifi at all?

Selected the "premium".....not the best. Tried the cable.....that must be disconnected as it didn't work at all. I'm currently on my personal hotspot on the iPhone.

€90 a night is a great rate for Berlin.

Can't remember for sure but I think I purchased it during the Flash Sale a while back.

Berlin hotels are quite cheap compared to other European capital cities. Last month stayed at Hilton one night for €72 (flash sale) and managed to get junior suite at Westin for €104 (some sort of SPG sale).

I stayed there as well on that night. Booked King Room and didn't get an upgrade because hotel was fully booked. Was offered a bottle of (cheap) wine as compensation which I politely declined and asked for a beer instead. Duty manager offered two beers but I was on my own so only took one, too bad didn't know another AFFers stayed there at the same time.

Property: HH ADL
Booked: King room

Upgraded to exec room on the 16th floor. Still waiting for my first suite upgrade here.

Coffee tax well and truly present.

Property: HSW
Booked: King room
Received: King exec
Status: Diamond

I had booked a two night stay, and the first night the hotel was very busy so no suite. I was offered one for the second night, but I was happy to unpack only once so declined.

No sign of a coffee tax as I had my usual 'bucket' each morning.

Hi Folks - any recent HH Diamond experiences with the Hilton Kuala Lumpur? I can see a HH Gold experience back in May on the board, but looking for something more recent. The FT guys - or one in particular - are suggesting that things are not as good as they once were for elites, after a new GM has joined the property. I can also stay at the Shangri-La KL, which is excellent, and I would get access to the lounge there, as well. I do like the thought of being closer to the KLIA express, is all. Not stayed at the Hilton KL before.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Matt.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again based upon my last stay. I also had a room at the back and was surprised at how quiet it was given the location of the hotel.
Stayed there last night and noticed they're now providing coffee pods machine (similar to HSW's) and T2 green tea as well, not sure if that's to differentiate the HHonors floors or not, etc. Can someone confirm?

Thanks for the post - will be staying there when I visit my brother (who's going to end up living there at some stage in 2016) and as I've been to Hilton Prague, can instantly get a feel for it.

Property: Hilton Berlin
Booked: King Hilton Guestroom
Received: King Hilton Deluxe
When: 3 nights in August 2016
Price: EUR281 total
HH status: Diamond

The Deluxe rooms are sizeable (40 sq m) and a welcome upgrade if you don't get a suite. Only a couple of this room type on each floor. Ground floor Exec Lounge is OK: a larger version of the Prague Hilton lounge with the same type of coughtail food and sandwiches, albeit with soup too. Friendly Exec Lounge staff and check in/out are easy and efficient.

Restaurant for breakfast is LARGE. Really nice meatballs in the brekkie spread and the usual eggs cooked to order etc. The rest of the property is modern and a good place to stay. Checkpoint Charlie is a couple of blocks to the south and the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag a few blocks to the northwest. Great location.

I am looking forward to a flood of reviews for H Surfers Paradise this weekend, as I think there are (at least) 3 AFF'ers booked in. Have 2 bookings (tonight is paid and Sat night is Award) and checked in for both via App. Tonight is Exec Floor room (were only 2 rooms available from which to choose) and tomorrow is King Suite (20th Floor). I didn't have to think about Sat night, immediately clicked "accept" ;)
