Miscellaneous: Breakfast in the Executive Lounge or restaurant, 2 bottles of water (replaced by one per day). Champagne and3 chocs - presumably because it is our wedding anniversary celebration holiday. I love the suite, especially the extra large bathroom with 2 basins, large freestanding bath and separate toilet. Breakfast in the restaurant on the first morning was the most disorganised affair with staff who didn't seem to know what the go was , a very grumpy egg chef, dirty plates, food and (clean) plates not replenished and there was a bunch of footballers who had no table manners!

On a positive note the concierge staff were great and the lounge staff were outstanding.

I was here on Saturday night and joined FIFA her husband and Major in the lounge. I saw how the lounge host greeted her by name and offered her a drink. When I declined alcohol I wasn't offered another drink. Fortunately they were close by.

Upon arrival I entered my room and the maid was doing the turn down service. No chocolates or water.

I received a personalised welcome back letter at check in.
 
Currently at HSW. Excellent staff. Linzi ( from J'burg) in the lounge made the stay for our guests. Staying on award nights 2 rooms for 2 nights ... For the chance to see QLD beat HSW again.. Got in at 10am and found we had 4 rooms for 2 nights! None of the rooms were ready, given lounge access and the Linzi worked her magic. Found us all some breakfast, got credits back on the extra 2 rooms and got us a room. At breakfast the next morning given a couple of vouchers (without asking) for complimentary breakfast downstairs if we wanted a hot breakfast. Used the vouchers this morn but was told when we got there, don't worry about vouchers, we've updated our guest list and all gold and diamond guests eat for free!

Have done the Yarra valley/ Melbourne cup double ...... Great times. When you take the boss to Auckland check out the 'man of war' winery. The locals will point you in the right direction!
 
I have just been checking through current bookings and changing if I can get better rates. Whilst the Hilton at Bromsgrove is not exactly the Waldorf Astoria at GBP33 per night with an advanced booking I think I'm getting a decent deal. With Free internet, free breakfast, and a room upgrade I'll be pretty happy!!!

Quick question, not worthy of its own thread. Does the Conrad Singapore have Roti Prata as part of either the lounge or main restaurant breakfasts?

As I was checking in here earlier today, I heard another person being told "because of your Gold Hilton HHonors membership, we are upgrading you to a King Executive Room". I was checking in and got something extra:

Received: 2 Bedroom Suite (Bay View), personal card from GM. (no water in room at all other than in the minibar)

This is the nicest upgrade I have ever been given by a Hilton outside London. This 2BR suite is huge!

Oh, and see you at breakfast, NM!

Hopefully you will have better luck than me.
Last 2 stays there no upgrade on first one ( HH Gold) and Clayton's upgrade on second :booked King City, given Exec King City as HH Diamond.
Pretty poor effort all round on the last stay. Housekeeping delivered card from GM 3 hours after check-in, room service order sent to our room that we didn't order. No express checkout folio provided and when I rang to ask for one an empty envelope was put under door. Asked for same in Exec Lounge and advised "I'll bring it to your table" but it never appeared.
I really like HSW but I'm feeling a little bit precious with them at the minute.
