Miscellaneous: Breakfast in the Executive Lounge or restaurant, 2 bottles of water (replaced by one per day). Champagne and3 chocs - presumably because it is our wedding anniversary celebration holiday. I love the suite, especially the extra large bathroom with 2 basins, large freestanding bath and separate toilet. Breakfast in the restaurant on the first morning was the most disorganised affair with staff who didn't seem to know what the go was , a very grumpy egg chef, dirty plates, food and (clean) plates not replenished and there was a bunch of footballers who had no table manners!

On a positive note the concierge staff were great and the lounge staff were outstanding.

How often have you stayed there mella? I haven't stayed there in a little while but have been upgraded to a suite (I have two stays there and don't recall being upgraded twice) - as a Diamond I didnt get chocolate but did get the letter and some little shell thing on the bed.

You should get benefits as a Diamond for your stay (though not sure how the property will find out your Diamond status), but it is not likely that you will get points or stay credits (except for 1000 points which is a standard Diamond bonus).



Glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues. If I was pressed I'd be calling up Hilton and demanding they find the same rate as I did online, then booking it, as well as getting IT to look at the site, stat.

A few experiences so far:
HH Gold
Hilton Niseko, 8 nights in Jan-peak season
booked Mt Yotei deluxe with dinner
recieved the same. Free welcome drink in both bars, as gold you can choose anything off the menu apart from Moët, instead of just the 2 basic drink options. Oddly, some of the scotches cost more than Moët but maybe the markup is higher.
Inquired about an upgrade and told the suites were all full, which I could believe but didn't check online.
great hotel but being overrun by mainland Chinese now.

recieved $0 NOR1 email for exec room, given exec room and access on checkin.
This one was the parents, so not sure of the other benefits.

As a gold I feel you get much more from Hilton than SPG, as they were gold at their previous 9 SPG stays around the world and only got free Internet, no upgrades.
Best program for them was PC surprisingly. No status and received suite upgrade at Crowne Plaza St Petersburg.

Geez! that is certainly an interesting array of benefits/gifts! .. particularly the 'personal escort to room" & in Bangkok, I assume innocent, though stirs the imagination

It's been 3 stays this year there, plus another 20+ in the system at the moment that I've all booked at advance purchase rate (diff properties around the world).
I will make diamond this year which I'm excited about, but have had excellent of being upgraded every time in the last year.
No shell for me ever!

Hilton Cardiff
Booked cheapest room. Got pretty much the same except on the executive floor. Not even a view. Didn't get to use the lounge.

Hilton London Metropole.
Booked cheapest room. Upgraded to a suite (The Burns suite) on Exec floor which is spacious but nothing to write home about. Also got lounge access, late checkout (2pm), welcome chocolates, etc.
