How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Managed by Hilton.

I had booked a Studio Beachfront as part of the AP Bed and Breakfast promo and we were upgraded to One Bedroom Beachfront.
My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Fiji Resort and Spa last week for our 20th wedding anniversary & thoroughly enjoyed it.... We were also upgraded to a one bedroom beachfront apartment and received complimentary breakfast.
We stayed last weekend and as HH Gold, we got exactly the same upgrade above to a one bedroom beach front room with free breakfast for 2 at Nuku restaurant and free internet:p

We wandered and found a nice looking little restaurant and had a great meal. I had a Chinese dish and my wife had Mud Crab.
We both had the mud crab:mrgreen:;)

In summary. The locals refer to Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Managed by Hilton as the best there is and I cannot disagree at all. Excellent at all levels.
As we pulled up to the hotel, the taxi driver announced: "Welcome to heaven!"....he was right on the mark:!::mrgreen::p:D

I'd have to agree - in the past 2 years as Gold, never failed to get upgraded at Hilton South Wharf to Exec Room except when full (big convention) and I had booked within 48 hours. Even at that point, I was given access to Exec Lounge which is IMHO the best in Australia.

Michael Bourne is the GM, Dolphin (Asian female) is usually in the Exec Lounge in morning.

Ditto. South Wharf have always upgraded me ... Had junior suite last time.huge. Just spent last night at the Brisbane Marriott as I've been pee zed with the Brisbane Hilton ( lounge is always crowded and loud, selection of drinks limited and as an obvious cost cutting measure low quality wines). Pleasantly surprised with Marriott lounge. Quiet, great selection of snacks and drinks. Wine of a half decent quality, and a coughtail of the day. Staff excellent too.

I have had an upgrade to Exec room with every stay at HSW, plus early check in late check out & welcome back card from GM Michael. At check in staff welcome is usually along lines of "and of course you have been upgraded to exec room".
I find HSW and Adelaide to be the 2 Oz Hiltons that consistently look after HH elites.

Property: Hilton on the Park Melbourne
Room booked: King Hilton Guestroom
Rate: $209
Received: King Hilton Executive Guestroom

Stayed 2 nights. Last night and tonight.

Breakfast was excellent quality. Frankly, I can do without eggs and bacon every morning and this was more in line with what I eat at home.
Even drinks and canapes were great. Great selection of hot food (unhealthy and fried...love it!). Veg option. Dips, bread, cold meat. Not crowded. About 30% full.

Will definately be staying here again. Hilton have totally won my business with this.

Will try South Wharf next week due to Serfty's praise. But I really like HOTP.

They are very different as HOTP is more old world and HSW is modern. I like them both for different reasons though a few of us have previously had issues at HOTP.

You still bummed about not getting an upgrade there for Ozfest? ;-)

I'm hoping to come down later this week and it's either HSW or HI Flinders for me.

My experience also. Will be going there as a Silver later this week, will be interesting to see how that affects my upgrades

+1, as I think they are the 2 best properties, however I'd have to add Cairns and Perth on looking after Elites

Does anyone have any recent experiences of the Parmelia Hilton Perth as an HH Gold? I can book 2 nights room only in a Queen Hilton guestroom for 140 pn on a Saturday/Sunday night, but have read some conflicting reports on trip advisor. Can I be confident of upgrade and free breakfast?
thanks

GCC, in all my experiences there, they have honoured the HH status. I suppose it helps that I have been a regular there since 2002 (on average 5 nights/year), but I have never failed to be upgraded and get free breakfast. My most recent was last year, but likewise I am there in mid April (hoping to confirm this week) and expect more of the same (upgrade). I've yet to be disappointed.

I stay there as it's across the road to my major clients (in London House) and easy walk to all of my clients on St Georges Terrace. That outweights the negatives of no Exec Floor and the older structured property - they have always put me in King Junior Suite and almost always (since the beginning) the refurbished rooms. meloz would have similar experiences.

I haven't stayed at the property in over a year but the last 3 stays I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a King Hilton Suite or the King Premier Suite.

Tacky rooms but the space was appreciated. I assume the construction site is still going on next door. Was woken by noise on a Sunday morning but wasn't too bothered as I had always wondered how they step a crane to make it taller. I got to find out, much to the amusement of my partner at the time.

Thanks guys. My last stay there was 2 year ago when HH silver and all I remember was the standard queen room being very small and dark. $140pn is pretty good for anything in Perth - will book it and post result.:-|

Only stays have been twice in the last 6 months ( 5 and 6 nights at atime).. free breakfast, upgraded both times, no construction noise, handy to everything for me. pool out of action first stay and tiny gym but both back in action when i was there last month.

Not sure about Adelaide, if you ask one Diamond OzFester from last year ;)

It's a great rate, so book it as soon as possible.

A big word of caution for Perth hotels: Availbility is starting to become quite scarce over the next three months. All my TA and corporate booking contacts are telling me daily lack of capacity stories, the latest today being some C-level executives arriving tomorrow who've had to be booked into beach chalets.

So if you do have planned travel to Perth, book your accomodation as soon as possible to get what you want.

Maybe it's a diamond thing.. all the golds were upgraded!
Not true, as a Gold I did not get upgraded! We booked Executive level on the January Sale for about $150 per night all up (including HPC Discount).
