Early check in / late out: 11:30am offered, 10am normal time.
VIP treatment: Room already upgraded and bicycle in storage room vip enough!

Oldish hotel, but good value for money. Heater in room superb.

Mysteriously I received an email from Accor advising me that my Plat card will be shipped out shortly. I didn't recall doing any status match whatsoever and it's not linked to my existing Accor membership (silver). Wondering if anyone got this pleasant surprise as well? If they treat Platinum as well as HH Diamond, I might give them a try in Syd.

Decided to put my newly minted Platinum status to good use and off to a superb start at Pullman Hyde Park, Sydney. Booked standard room, received Exec Room on highest floor and also a cheese platter, full size bottle of wine and lounge access to boot! I'm impressed!

It was my first stay but definitely won't be the last either. Received the cheese platter and bottle of wine for the 2 nights I was there. Lounge was rather empty for the evening and breakfast and service was really personal. Great stay overall.

Special Le Club Accor weekly deal for 20% off FOOD AND DRINK (not seen this before in Australia) Even though we were a party of 9 with only 1 Accorplus member management offered us the deal for all 9 of us as a one off .Total discount savings on evening dinner came to $155 Awesome service, and staff were as ever exceptionally polite and competent

Not according to the latest general conditions of use 3 August 2015.

7.1. RESERVATION CHANNELS ELIGIBLE FOR POINTS
Stays booked at the eligible rates via Accor distribution channels (Accor Internet sites, Accor reservation center, hotels) and traditional travel agencies using a GDS (Global Distribution System) connected automatically to the Accor reservation center, entitle the Member to earn Points.
Eligible stays therefore do not include: stays booked via a reseller, tour operator or third-party on-line travel agent (such as Expedia.com, Booking.com, etc.). These stays do not enable the Member to earn Points, nor accumulate Eligible Nights to obtain a status.

Yes, I booked via the Entertainment book and prior to check-in, called the hotel directly to quote the membership number. No points/stay though.

Escorted to room by manager on duty. Personal welcome letter from FO manager.

Access to executive lounge (if existing)Lounge available but as this hotel is a law unto themselves when it comes to acknowledging Platinum status none granted !!!

General comments: Hotel really nice, service was good but refusal of access to club lounge a bummer !! Probably best off going to Pullman Hyde Park when they stop charging ridiculous prices IMHO !
