Early check in / late out: Yes 11am but room not ready for an hour / 4pm check out great after swim & late shower.
VIP treatment: Staff seemed to be more attentive than previous visits. Packed the car at departure & left it at the front until we left for the airport at 7pm.
Additional care: Had a room problem with the previous guests having sabotaged the TV & turned the air-conditioning to zero - easy to fix - but the next day we had exploded drink bottles in fridge - they had turned the fridge to zero. Fridge was cleaned drinks replaced - 2 of ours & 3 minibar - also a bowl of fruit & a bottle bubbly complementary.

General comments: Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant dinner menu choice was on the small side but the food good and staff made wine suggestion for my chosen dish. Breakfast range pretty average, especially given the price.

First time stay here - I mostly stay at Pullman Hyde Park but they wanted around $650 for a standard room due to the activities in Hyde Park. Hotel has character but not my first choice for business use only due to location and my business needs.

Located in the Rocks it's well suited to leisure. My upgraded room was on the 3rd floor with glimpses of the Opera House after a massive cruise liner left berth. Note there is no lift except the dumb waiter - if you have trouble with your key card (my door had a flat battery) you'll be sure to burn those calories consumed at dinner :).

There is no onsite parking - Wilson's Parking is used across the road....self park and have your ticket validated at the hotel. It's $45/day and hourly amounts for less than a full day. If you come and go more than once then each visit counts as a separate ticket and fee (the clock restarts).

SOFITEL Brisbane may as well not have an EL as far as ACCOR status access is concerned, from my understanding. Happy to be corrected.

Yep! They are pretty specific about Status not worth squat for entrance I've not heard of anyone being comped access due to status.

Currently at the bar, I'll post pics later. Apparently there are many musicians around. I'm just happy with the scenery.

It appears I was upgraded to a luxury room. (Unannounced). I hung up the phone from requesting a bucket of ice, literally 30 seconds later there was a knock at the door fulfilling my request. Breakfast in the morning was awesome. My plate was swimming in hollandase sauce (self service). I received a macchiato shot soon after. The Zimbabwe cricket team were taking relatively healthy options. I was rather disheveled from the previous night. It was noted and they gave me a quiet corner.

The same this week but now they have prepared loyalty packs which gave me two welcome drinks (valid for coughtails) plus internet vouchers. Still crying out for refurb and spotty housekeeping, can't wait to switch to Sheraton next week...

Pullman Melbourne Albert Park

Booked std room, upgraded to Suite

Club pack was pre-prepared so checkin was a breeze

Free internet in-room, multi device

Free drink voucher for main bar

Exec lounge (had to ask and have room key re-cut)

Lounge was closing as I arrived but host offered a drink anyway. Also agreed to make breakfast before normal lounge opening time since I have an early start. Great service.
