I had been looking forward to trying the QF Lounge at LHR for a long time. Unfortunately it it shut. CX Lounge is shut as well so in BA lounge in T3 till QF10 boards.

QF did warn with a text and email but I hoped today wouldn’t be one of the days it would be shut.

Hey! I am on QF1 on Saturday but my J ticket happens to not have lounge access. Anyone going to be around and kind enough to let me in at Sydney? (bonus points if anyone is in BNE too!)

It is a special fare (not public) that comes with a few restrictions such as not having lounge access.

More likely a travel industry fare I'd imagine, I believe gov fares get lounge (as entitled) and SC, but not points.

Melbourne J lounge almost full right now. Not sure why they can't partially open the QP given the demand and proximity of both entrances, even if just the seating was available.

The Qantas Club was open when I was in MEL a few weeks ago. Did they close it again?

GOV fares have the same conditions (changes, refunds etc) as published fares except:
1. No points earned (status credits are earned)
2. Y class is fully refundable (except credit card fee), even after no show.
3. Additional checked baggage allowance for Y and B class fares.
