I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Up thread mentions BNE JCL lounge closed due to staff shortages, patrons directed (downgraded) to the QC.
Same in MEL perhaps?
Will find out about BNE in the am and MEL on Monday. Cheers

Both lounges at BNE are open now. Just left the J lounge.

I'll report on SYD tomorrow if I get time to visit the lounge.
Might try on arrival access in MEL tomorrow.

MEL QC closed. Shutter is down. JCL lounge not too bad at the moment. Not sure about SYD. The person in front of me told the lounge dragons “I was sent here”. Lounge dragons lived up to their names. Refused to move me to an earlier flight. “We don’t do that anymore”. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of an ever growing queue.

Both lounges in BNE open. Biz lounge very very quite. The scrambled eggs and bacon were excellent

Currently in the Mel F Lounge with the Family, pretty quiet, nice spot of breakfast.

Sorry if this has been answered previously. Im set to fly Qantas economy SYD > SIN. I have Finnair Gold. Am I allowed to access the Qantas First Class lounge in Syd ?

Would normally be the J lounge if open.

My understanding is QF is not allowing OW sapphire into the F lounge when they are travelling in J, so I would expect Y definitely won't get in.

I am in the Syd F lounge for the next 45 minutes so have taken the opportunity to ask the lounge angels.

QF SG and other OWS can use the First lounge if and only if they are on a QF flight number including codeshares. Flying QF on an AY codeshare won’t cut it.

More info also in this thread where the OP got told they weren't flying a OW airline so couldn't come into the F lounge - OP was flying on JAL metal 🙄

In the CBR business lounge this morning and was informed on entering that it is now a silent lounge with no boarding calls so to monitor the board/app for my flight boarding.
An ‘enhancement’ they’re trialing, apparently.

I can't find an answer elsewhere, so asking here: SYD F lounge is accepting QC members on QF flights, but I'm assuming complementary passes aren't enough..?

Correct, see here:

In the Canberra J lounge for a while, then Melbourne J and can guest two.

CBR has an absolutely delicious chicken Tajine…I’d be happy if I got this eating at a restaurant. Sydney lounge, if you’re listening, I think it’s time to upgrade the three different colour variations of slop ‘n’ rice on constant rotation.2DA89D0F-FB7F-492D-BFF3-7CE4BA988467.jpeg
